1.0 Overview
_____________

1.1 This document describes, generally, how to use the StorCLI Utility
for Storage Management. StorCLI is a command line utility that
           runs in the VMware environment.

    1.2 Limitations
           - VMware 4.x ESXi is not supported.

    1.3 Problems fixed:

2.0 Installation and setup instructions
________________________________________

    Installation
    ------------

The vib file in "Vmware-NDS/" folder works with native driver.
The vib file in "Vmware-MN/" folder works with VMKlinux driver.

     1. Unzip file and cd to support directory.

     VMware ESX 4
     2. Copy the executable to the ESX server.

     vSphere 5
     2. Copy the VIB to the ESX server. The file can placed anywhere that
is accessible to the ESX console shell, but for these instructions,
we'll assume the location is in '/tmp'.

     3. Issue the following command (full path to the VIB must be specified):
esxcli software vib install -v=/tmp/{VIBFILE} --no-sig-check

Note: Depending on the certificate used to sign the VIB, you may need to
change the host acceptance level. To do this, use the following command:
      esxcli software acceptance set --level=<level>
Also, depending on the type of VIB being installed, you may have to put
ESX into maintenance mode. This can be done through the VI Client, or by
adding the '--maintenance-mode' option to the above esxcli command.
