PI19074: WebBeans context with scope type annotation @RequestScoped does not exist within current thread: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1PI19074 . Our customers reported this problem in V8.5.5.3 with the interim Fix for APAR PI19074 installed and V8.5.5.4. LOCAL FIX: N/A. PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI) Application Scoped contexts are not aquired properly. RECOMMENDATION: None Possible symptoms include: - CDI custom scopes do not function. - Applications will not start during CDI Startup but can be started through the console. - Deltaspike's ProcessAnnotatedType.veto does not function PROBLEM CONCLUSION: A change was made to the code used to acquire CDI Application Scopes, which reoslves the issue. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.12 and 8.5.5.8.
