This fix can be installed on WebSphere Premises Server 6.1.
Included in this interim fix
The following reported program defects are fixed in this update:
- IC64251: Encoding/decoding in the Print RUC and Container Tracking.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites for Microsoft Windows® operating systems
- You must have Administrator access to update the WebSphere Premises server.
- It is assumed that the WebSphere Premises server is already installed.
Prerequisites for Linux® operating systems
- You must have root access to update the WebSphere Premises server.
- It is assumed that the WebSphere Premises server is already installed.
Installation
Installation procedure for Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Create a folder named maintenance in the WebSphere Premises server C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID directory.
- Unpack the .zip file, IC64251.zip, to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance directory. The .zip file contains these files:
- IC64251\ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar
- IC64251\IC64251-readme.html
- Create a folder named backup in the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC64251 directory.
- Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear
directory and copy the ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar file to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC64251\backup directory.
- Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC64251 directory and copy the ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar file to these locations:
- C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear
- C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_Container_Tracking.ear
- C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_PVS_Console.ear
- C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\PremisesNodeCell\IBM_WSE_Server.ear
Installation procedure for Linux operating systems
- Create a folder named maintenance in the WebSphere Premises server /opt/IBM/RFID directory.
- Unpack the .zip file, IC64251.zip, to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance directory. The .zip file contains these files:
- IC64251/ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar
- IC64251/IC64251-readme.html
- Create a folder named backup in the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC64251 directory.
- Navigate to the /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear
directory and copy the ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar file to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC64251/backup directory.
- Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC64251 directory and copy the ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar file to these locations:
- /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear
- /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_Container_Tracking.ear
- /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_PVS_Console.ear
- /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/installedApps/PremisesNodeCell/IBM_WSE_Server.ear
Uninstallation
Uninstallation procedure for Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\RFID\maintenance\IC64251\backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar
file to all previously updated directories.
- Restart WebSphere Application Server.
Uninstallation procedure for Linux operating systems
- Navigate to the /opt/IBM/RFID/maintenance/IC64251/backup directory and copy the ibmrfid_prem_sc_ejbClient.jar
file to all previously updated directories.
- Restart WebSphere Application Server.
