1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE

This README provides information about the patch available in this Fix.

This fix can be installed on WebSphere Sensor Events 7.0


2.0 INCLUDED IN THIS FIX
----------------------------

The following reported program defects are fixed in this update:

o  IC81278: This fix provides instructions and files for updating Data Transformation service   


3.0 INSTALLATION
-----------------

3.1 Prerequisites

o  You must have Administrator access to update WebSphere Sensor Events server.

o  It is assumed that WebSphere Sensor Events server is already installed.


3.2 Installation Procedure

1. Unpack the zip file, IC81278.zip, to the WebSphere Sensor Events server folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\properties\version\maintenance.  The zip file contains the files: 
     IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear
     IBM_WSE_Engine.ear
     IBM_WSE_Runtime.ear
     wseClient.jar
     IC81278-readme.txt
     SNSREVTS-7.0-MULTI-IC81278.fxtag

2. Back up the existing ear files, IBM_WSE_Admin_Console.ear, IBM_WSE_Engine.ear, IBM_WSE_Runtime.ear and lib file wseClient.jar to the Create a folder named maintenance in the WebSphere Sensor Events server C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\maintenance\IC81278 directory as described in technote, "Updating EAR files for WebSphere Sensor Events". This technote is available at:

3. Apply this fix to the WebSphere Sensor Events server as described in technote, "Updating EAR files for WebSphere Sensor Events". This technote is available at: 
http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=4076&tc=SSWM5D&uid=swg21391658

4. Copy the SNSREVTS-7.0-MULTI-IC81278.fxtag file to this folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\properties\version\

5. Stop the WSE server. 
On Woindows, navigate to the C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\lib directory and copy the wseClient.jar file to the C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\maintenance\IC81278\backup directory.
On Linux, navigate to the /opt/IBM/WSE/maintenance/IC81278 directory and copy the wseClient.jar file to /opt/IBM/WSE/lib
Start the WSE server.
     

4.0 UNINSTALLATION
-------------------

1. Reinstall the backup EAR file as described in technote, "Updating EAR files for WebSphere Sensor Events". This technote is available at:

2. Delete the file located at: C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\properties\version\SNSREVTS-7.0-WINDOWS-IC81278.fxtag
