1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE

This README provides information about the patch available in this Fix.

This fix can be installed on IBM Asset Inventory Management Services for WebSphere Sensor Events server 6.2.


2.0 INCLUDED IN THIS FIX
----------------------------

The following reported program defects are fixed in this update:

o  IC81629: Websphere Sensor Events do not return an Exception when making a call to Application when MQ Infrastructure is unavailable    


3.0 INSTALLATION
-----------------

3.1 Prerequisites

o  You must have Administrator access to update WebSphere Sensor Events server.

o  It is assumed that WebSphere Sensor Events server is already installed.


3.2 Installation Procedure

1. Unpack the zip file, IC81629.zip, to the WebSphere Sensor Events server folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\properties\version\maintenance.  The zip file contains the files: 
     IBM_WSE_RUC_BackendImpl.ear
     IBM_WSE_RUC.ear
     IC81629-readme.txt
     WebSphere_Sensor_Events_6.2.IC81629.fxtag

2. Back up the existing IBM_WSE_RUC_BackendImpl.ear and IBM_WSE_RUC.ear to the C:\Program Files\IBM\AVS\maintenance\IC81629\backup directory as described in technote, "Updating EAR files for WebSphere Sensor Events". This technote is available at:

3. Apply this fix to the WebSphere Sensor Events server as described in technote, "Updating EAR files for WebSphere Sensor Events". This technote is available at:

4. Copy the SNSREVTS-6.2-WINDOWS-IC81629.fxtag file to this folder: C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\properties\version\
     

4.0 UNINSTALLATION
-------------------

1. Reinstall the backup EAR file as described in technote, "Updating EAR files for WebSphere Sensor Events". This technote is available at:

2. Delete the file located at: C:\Program Files\IBM\WSE\properties\version\SNSREVTS-6.2-WINDOWS-IC81629.fxtag
