Prerequisites and co-requisites

Before downloading the interim fix, perform the following steps:

  1. This Interim Fix can be applied on WebSphere ILOG Rule Team Server version(s) 7.1.1.4. Ensure that your current installation of Rule Team Server is compliant.
    This action prevents technical problems that might occur after the installation and configuration of the interim fix.

Installation information:

Prior to installation

Before installing this interim fix, perform the following steps:

  1. Download the interim fix to an appropriate location
  2. Uncompress the interim fix

Downloading the interim fix to an appropriate location

Note the location of the downloaded file 7.1.1.4-WS-RTS-IF009A.zip, this file can be deleted after installation.

Uncompressing the interim fix installation image

This interim fix installation is compressed using zip.
Extract the interim fix installation image in the folder [jrules-installation].
A folder IF009 should be created.

Installing

To install the interim fix on Windows:

  1. Open a DOS command window
  2. Change folder to [jrules-installation]\IF009
  3. Run the command: ..\shared\tools\ant\bin\ant

To install the interim fix on Unix/Linux:

  1. In a shell
  2. Change folder to [jrules-installation]/IF009
  3. Run the command: ../shared/tools/ant/bin/ant

Perform the necessary tasks after installation

If you are using the sample console you must follow the following steps

Find the Rule Team Server EAR file corresponding to your application server under [jrules-installation]/teamserver/applicationservers and redeploy it.

A new option is added to disable the parsing on every keystroke during Decision Table cell editing. The text is verified only when the cell is validated (ENTER or cell blur). To enable this option define the Java system property key: dtEditor.bypassKeyStrokeValidation.
For example start the server with the command line argument: -DdtEditor.bypassKeyStrokeValidation=true

Uninstalling if necessary

After applying Interim Fix 009, you can go back to the original fix pack by following this steps.

To uninstall the interim fix on Windows:

  1. Open a DOS command window
  2. Change folder to [jrules-installation]\IF009
  3. Run the command: ..\shared\tools\ant\bin\ant uninstall

To uninstall the interim fix on Unix/Linux:

  1. In a shell
  2. Change folder to [jrules-installation]/IF009
  3. Run the command: ../shared/tools/ant/bin/ant uninstall

After uninstalling to follow the instructions in the installation section to redeploy the updated application ,refresh the sample Console.
