It contains the most current information for the fix pack on Unix and Windows platforms and takes precedence over all other documentation. Please review this readme thoroughly before installing or using the fix pack. The information center can be found at the following address http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/mqams/v7r0m1/index.jsp. 2.0 "New features and functionalities" * All features and fixes introduced by WebSphere MQ AMS Fix Pack 1. * Interoperability with WebSphere MQ 7.1. * Support of SHA-2 hash family. Important: To be able to use hash functions from the SHA-2 family, you must have the following software installed in your environment: for Java interceptor: * IBM JRE 1.6 SR10 or IBM JRE 1.5 SR13 for API exits and Client interceptor: * GSKit version 8.0.14.14 or later * Support of certificate revocation lists (CRLs). * Support of Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP). * Support of command and configuration event messages which can be logged and serve as a record of policy changes for auditing. * Support of activity trace which contains the name of the policy used to protect a message and can serve as a record of policy changes for auditing. 3.0 "APARs fixed" This fix pack provides patches to the following APARs: * APAR IC77281 - application message flow severely impacted and messages are not encrypted over time after enabling WMQ AMS policies. * APAR IC77359 - WebSphere MQ Advances Message Security version 7.0.1.1 getting error: DRQDM1516E WITH AMQ2046. * APAR IC78113 - WebSphere MQ Advances Message Security version 7.0.1.1 Java interceptors cannot use certificates created without the non-repudiation bit set. 4.0 "System requirements" See the "Supported technology" section in the WebSphere MQ AMS information center for detailed information about the system requirements. 5.0 "Installing the fix pack" This section contains the instructions for installing the fix pack. 5.1 "AIX platform" To install the fix pack on AIX® platforms, perform the following steps: a. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root. b. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes. c. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors. d. Run: installp -a -d $PWD where the is one of the following: * MQAMS.Runtime_7.0.1.2 * MQAMS.Client_7.0.1.2 * MQAMS.Server_7.0.1.2 * MQAMS.Policy_7.0.1.2 * MQAMS.Java_7.0.1.2 e. Restart all MQ AMS processes. 5.2 "HP-UX platform" If you are already using the WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1.1 manufacturing refresh, which contains the base version of WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1 and Fix Pack 1, you cannot additionally install and use the patch version of WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1.2. To be able to use WebSphere MQ AMS version 7.0.1.2, uninstall the 7.0.1.1 version and install the manufacturing refresh version 7.0.1.2. To install the fix pack on HP-UX platforms, perform the following steps: a. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root. b. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes. c. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors. d. Log in to the system as administrator. b. Disable interceptors to stop all communications using WebSphere MQ AMS. c. * Using the installation wizard: I. Launch the installation wizard by executing the install.exe file. II. Follow the installation wizard instructions. * Using the command prompt: I. Move to the directory where your install.exe file is located. II. Issue the following command: install -i console III. Follow the installer instructions. 6.0 "Uninstalling the fix pack" To remove the patch on UNIX systems, perform the following steps: 1. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root. 2.
