1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE

This README provides information about the patch available
in this Interim Fix.

This fix can be installed on IBM WebSphere Voice Server for
Multiplatform Version 6.1.1.

This update is for WebSphere Voice Server 6.1.1 (Windows) only.

2.0 WHAT IS NEW IN THIS Interim Fix

This fix addresses a problem with handling MRCP SETUP requests when WebSphere
Voice Server is configured to use 22 KHz TTS voices. If the SDP in the SETUP
request specifies that the MRCP client requests 8 KHz audio, WebSphere Voice
Server accepts the SETUP request although it can only synthesize 22 KHz audio.
After installing this APAR, Voice Server rejects the request in such a case
with a 415 (Unsupported Media Type) response code.

3.0 INSTALLATION

3.1 Prerequisites

o You must have Administrator access to update the
   IBM WebSphere Voice Server software.

o It is assumed the IBM WebSphere Voice Server software is
   already installed.

o WebSphere Application Server must be stopped prior to install ifix.

3.2 Installation Procedure

This fix is delivered in these files: engine.exe; packaged in the ifix_IC65297.zip file.

1. Login to the WVS server system as the Administrator userid.

2. Create an ifix directory to contain the ifix_IC65297.zip file (e.g., C:\download\WVS\ifixIC65297).

3. cd to this ifix directory (e.g., cd C:\download\WVS\ifixIC65297).

4. Unzip the ifix_IC65297.zip file.

5. Ensure the WebSphere Application Server is stopped before proceeding.

6. The WebSphere Application Server setupCmdLine.bat is required to be sourced before starting the
installation. This is done via the command syntax: "C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\bin\setupCmdLine.bat"
** assuming the WAS install location is C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer

7. Begin the ifix installation script using the command
   syntax: ifix_IC65297.bat -install

8. The ifix install script will start/stop WAS as required and provide status messages during installation.

9. Once the install completes without error, reboot the system.

10. Once the system is restarted, verify the WVS installation Verification test
passes (available from the Firststeps application).

11. The ifix is now applied.

4.0 UNINSTALLATION

1. Login to the WebSphere VoiceServer system as the Administrator userid.

2. cd "%WVS_ROOT%\ifix" directory.

3. Begin the uninstall of ifix IC65297 by invoking the ifix_IC65297.bat script with
   the syntax: ifix_IC65297.bat -uninstall

4. The ifix script will start/stop WAS as required and provide status messages during installation.

5. Once the uninstall completes without error, reboot the system.

6. Once the system is restarted, verify the WVS installation verification test
passes (available from the firststeps application).

7. Given the WVS ivt has passed, now remove the %WVS_ROOT%\ifix\IC65297 directory
via the command: rmdir /s "%WVS_ROOT%\ifix\IC65297"

8. Ifix is now removed.
