Description/symptom of problem: PM05220 resolves the following problem: ERROR DESCRIPTION: Custom error page?application appears to hang and?causes an excessive amount of?file?descriptors to be opened on the ODR LOCAL FIX: N/A PROBLEM SUMMARY USERS AFFECTED: User of WebSphere Virtual Enterprise Version 6.1.1 who are using the on demand router (ODR) and custom error page policies PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The ODR does not serve the customized error page when an error occurs. RECOMMENDATION: None The ODR does not redirect the request to the ODR's Web container in order to properly serve the customized error page. This results in the request looping within in the ODR leading to an excessive amount of open file descriptors, which causes the ODR to become unresponsive. PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The logic in the on demand configuration has been improved to avoid requests being routed back through the proxy filter chains rather than appropriately routed to the proxy's Web container.
