1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE

This README provides information about the patch available in this Interim Fix.

This fix can be installed on IBM WebSphere Voice Server for
Multiplatform Version 6.1.1

This update is for WebSphere Voice Server 6.1.1 Linux only.

2.0 WHAT IS NEW IN THIS INTERIM FIX

The fix corrects an issue where a TTS language cannot be installed on Linux where the system locale is German.
Installation fails because the disk space is not calculated correctly, and an incorrect message is displayed saying
there is not enough disk space:
"The system cannot reserve enough space on /var/opt/IBM/ibmtts".

3.0 INSTALLATION

3.1 Prerequisites

o You must have root access to update the IBM WebSphere Voice Server software.

o You should complete the following steps before installing TTS software.

3.2 Installation Procedure

This fix is delivered in file: diskspace.bin, packaged in the ifix_LI74511.tar file.

1. Login to the WVS server system as the root userid.

2. Create an ifix directory to contain the ifix_LI74511.tar file (e.g., /download/WVS/ifixLI74511).

3. cd to this ifix directory (e.g., cd /download/WVS/ifixLI74511).

4. Untar the ifix_LI74511.tar file (e.g., tar -xvf ifix_LI74511.tar).

5. Follow the installation instructions for IBM WebSphere Voice Server as described in the info center.

6. When asked to point to the TTS installation package:

6.1 If installing from a DVD:
6.1.1 Insert the TTS installation DVD.
       6.1.2 Mount the TTS DVD:
             cd /
             mount /mnt/dvdrom
6.1.3 Copy the TTS installation (the content of /mnt/dvdrom directory) to a temporary directory
             (e.g., /download/WVS/ifixLI74511/TTSInstall).

6.2 If installing from a downloaded package:
6.1.1 Untar the TTS installation pacakage to a temporary directory (e.g., /download/WVS/ifixLI74511/TTSInstall).

7. cd to the TTS installation directory (e.g., /download/WVS/ifixLI74511/TTSInstall).

8. Backup the diskspace.bin of the TTS installation by renaming it to diskspace.bin.bak.

9. Copy the diskspace.bin supplied with this ifix to the TTS installation directory
   e.g., cp /download/WVS/ifixLI74511/diskspace.bin /download/WVS/ifixLI74511/TTSInstall

10. Ifix is now applied.

11. Continue with the TTS and IBM WebSphere Voice Server installation according to the instructions in the info center.

4.0 UNINSTALLATION

1. Login to the WebSphere VoiceServer system as the root userid.

2. cd to the TTS installation directory you copied when applying this ifix

3. Delete diskspace.bin.

4. Rename diskspace.bin.bak to diskspace.bin.

5. Ifix is now removed.
