SCM Device Summary attributes

The SCM Device Summary attributes provide information on SCM cards for a single RMF period or 5-minute Near Term History period in a requested historical report.

Average Response Time (LPAR) (RMF metric) Average request response time. (LPAR Level) The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMART

Average Response Time (CPC) (RMF metric) Average request response time. (CPC Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMARTC

Average IOPQ Time (CPC) (RMF metric) The average IOP queue time per request in milliseconds. (CPC Level) The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMAQTC

Bytes Read Per Second (LPAR) (RMF metric) Bytes read per second. (LPAR Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMDRD

Bytes Read Per Second (CPC) (RMF metric) Bytes read per second. (CPC Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMDRDC

Bytes Written Per Second (LPAR) (RMF metric) Bytes written per second. (LPAR Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMDWR

Bytes Written Per Second (CPC) (RMF metric) Bytes written per second. (CPC Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMDWRC

Card ID (RMF metric) The identifier of the flash adapter card. On z14 processors and later, VFM is reported if the hardware has configured Virtual Flash Memory. The format is an alphanumeric string no longer than 12 characters. RMF Attribute Name: SCMRPID

ICMR Time (RMF metric) The average initial command response time across all EADM devices in milliseconds. This is the time from when the first command does not immediately proceed to execute until the successful start of execution at the SCM resource part.

ICMR =Sum( Initial Command Response Time )/Measurement Event Count

RMF Attribute Name: SCMHCRT. The format is an integer.

IOPQ Time (RMF metric) The average IOP queue time across all EADM devices in milliseconds. This is unique to EADM devices. It represents the amount of time the request is not accepted by the adapter because it would exceed its maximum capacity. For a particular I/O request, this may occur multiple times.

IOPQ = Sum( IOP Queue Time )/Measurement Event Count

RMF Attribute Name: SCMHIQT. The format is an integer.

Managed System A z/OS operating system in your enterprise that is being monitored by an OMEGAMON for z/OS agent. Valid value is a character string with a maximum length of 32 bytes.

PEND Time (RMF metric) The average function pending time across all EADM devices in milliseconds. This is similar to function pending time for traditional I/O devices, which is the amount of time between when the SSCH is issued and the first command in the channel program is accepted.

PEND = Sum(Function Pending Time)/Measurement Event Count

RMF Attribute Name: SCMHFPT. The format is an integer.

Recording End Time Time at the end of the RMF reporting interval for the current row of near-term historical data. The valid format is yy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss.

Recording Start Time Time at the start of the RMF reporting interval for the current row of near-term historical data. The valid format is yy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss.

Requests Per Second (CPC) (RMF metric) Requests processed per second. (CPC Level) The format is an integer.

Requests Per Second (LPAR) (RMF metric) Requests processed per second. (LPAR Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMQR

Request Total (CPC) (RMF metric) Total number of requests (CPC Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMTRQC

Request Total (LPAR) (RMF metric) Total number of requests (LPAR Level). The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMTRQ

RMF Status Status indications for availability of RMF and SCM data. The format is an integer.

Sample Period Sample period in seconds. The format is an integer.

SSCH Rate (RMF metric) The number of SSCH instructions to all EADM devices per second. RMF Attribute Name: SCMHSCR

SSCH Total (RMF metric) The total number of SSCH instructions to all EADM devices in the report interval. RMF Attribute Name: SCMHSCH. The format is an integer.

SMF ID SMF ID as defined in the IEASYM or IEASYS PARMLIB members.

Utilization Pct CPC (RMF metric) The average utilization of the flash card during the interval as reported by the SCM measurement facility (CPC level). On z14 processors and later, and if the hardware has configured Virtual Flash Memory, the average utilization of Virtual Flash Memory is reported as the percentage of the time spent on System Assist Processors (SAP) for SCM processing compared to the total available SAP time in this reporting interval. The format is an integer. RMF Attribute Name: SCMUTLC

Utilization Pct LPAR (RMF metric) The average utilization of the flash card during the interval as reported by the SCM measurement facility (LPAR level). RMF Attribute Name: SCMUTL
