By default, Interim Fixes in TCR are not-cumulative and thus this fixpack provides the cumulative install of ALL Interim Fixes so far. Following will be the contents of TCR 2.1.1.2 - Latest Deployment Engine (DE) (FP22) - Latest Cognos FP (Cognos 8.4.1 FP5) - Latest BIRT Wrapper (to run BIRT reports) (version 2.13) This readme contains the most current information for this fixpack and takes precedence over all other documentation. NOTE: 1) TCR 2.1.1 product should be installed prior to installing this Fixpack 2) TIP 2.2.0.11 FP should be installed prior to installing this Fixpack. TCR 2.1.1 will provide support for FF 17 ESR browser through TIP Fixpack 2.2.0.11 and Cognos 8.4.1 FP 5 (part of this Fixpack) 3) This Fixpack is applicable only for Embedded mode of TCR installations as the fix updates many files in both Cognos and Tivoli Integrated Portal (TIP) folders. 4) Please do not remove the Fixpack installable zip file as this is required for the Uninstall of the Fixpack (refer Uninstall section, step 2) +-------------------+ | 1.1 APARs included| +-------------------+ APAR: IZ91964 (TIP's APAR) - FIPS Compliance issue with TIP 2.2 only - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IZ91964 APAR: IY99995 / PMR 33555,499,000 - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IY99995 APAR: IV20874 / PMRs: 64809,180,000 & 33164,082,000 - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IV20874 APAR IV19787 / PMR 92408,075,724 - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IV19787 +---------------------+ | 1.2 Internal defects| +---------------------+ ISRM 1041, ISRM 1048, ISRM 1099, TADDM1013 +---------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 2 Applying Tivoli Common Reporting 2.1.1.2 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------+ To apply the fix: 1. Stop the Tivoli Common Reporting server 2. Please take full backup of the existing TCR211_HOME and TIP_HOME (for eg,/opt/IBM/tivoli/tipv2Components/TCRComponent and /opt/IBM/tivoli/tipv2) to any folder of your choice 3. Please take full backup of the existing Deployment Engine (DE) home to any folder of your choice for root: /usr/ibm/common/acsi for non-root: /home//.acsi_ 4. Start the Tivoli Common Reporting server 5. Please unpack the 2.1.1.0-TIV-TCR--FP2.zip into a temporary directory. Lets call this as: -FP2> 6. Install the Fixpack by running the installation launchpad: a) Windows: Install.exe Linux and unix systems: Install.bin - You may have to add executable permission (+x) for the below scripts on Linux/UNIX platforms (chmod u+x install.bin/sh) -FP2>/Install.bin -FP2>/DE/si_inst.sh -FP2>/TCRInstall/install.sh -FP2>/TCRInstall/installEmbed.sh b) Read the installation information, and click Next c) Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next d) Please provide valid paths for existing TCR i) Choose the TCR component installed path (ex: /opt/IBM/tivoli/tipv2Components/TCRComponent) ii) Choose the WAS UI HOME PATH (a non-existing folder) iii) Provide username of the Tivoli Intergrated Portal admin under 'User Name' iv) Provide password of the Tivoli Intergrated Portal admin under 'Password' - where "Tivoli common reporting component installed path" is the directory where Tivoli Common Reporting 2.1.1.0 is installed. Example: /opt/IBM/tivoli/tipv2Components/TCRComponent - Due to case-sensitivity of Deployment Engine, the value used for "Tivoli common reporting installed path" and "Tivoli common reporting component installed path" must be exactly the same as the directory path entered during the TCR 2.1.1.0 installation. A common error is to use a non capital letter for the installation drive on Windows. If the disk where you installed Tivoli Common Reporting server is "C:", you have to use a capital letter when specifying it, for example: c:\IBM\tivoli\tipv2Components\TCRComponent will not work, while C:\IBM\tivoli\tip C:\IBM\tivoli\tipv2Components\TCRComponent will work. - User Name is the super-admin login for TIP Console Example: tipadmin - Password is the password of the super-admin user for TIP Console Example: tippass v) Click Next to proceed with the install e) Review the Summary panel & Click Install 7. Verify the installation: Navigate to the folder where the Deployment Engine has been installed. For Windows the folder is: %ProgramFiles%\IBM\Common\acsi\bin Type listUI.sh and the output must contain the below three entries updated to 2.1.1.2 which confirms the installation. 2.1.1.2,SIU-TCRCore 2.1.1.2,SIU-TCREmbedded For UNIX-like systems: Source the DE environment by running the following command: . /var/ibm/common/acsi/setenv.sh for root user, OR . ~/.acsi_/setenv.sh for non-root users. Make sure you include the . (dot and space) characters when running the command. Browse to the following directory: /usr/ibm/common/acsi/bin for root user, OR ~/.acsi_/bin for non-user users. Type listUI.sh and the output must contain the below three entries updated to 2.1.1.2 which confirms the installation. 2.1.1.2,SIU-TCRCore 2.1.1.2,SIU-TCREmbedded 8.
