THE IBM SSIC can be found at the following website: http://www.ibm.com/systems/support/storage/config/ssic Installing IBM Spectrum Archive: ================================ Attention: If you are using an older version of LTFS or older version of IBM Spectrum Archive, uninstall it and restart your system before installing the new version of IBM Spectrum Archive. - Open Windows Explorer and double-click the .exe file that was downloaded in advance from the IBM FixCentral website. - Be sure to restart the system after installing IBM Spectrum Archive. - From the taskbar on the Windows desktop, open the "Configuration" panel. The Configuration panel allows the user to assign a drive letter for each LTFS-supported tape drive. After assigning a drive letter, the user can then access the tape drive as a file system. Uninstalling IBM Spectrum Archive: ================== Attention: Eject media from the LTO drives before uninstalling IBM Spectrum Archive to avoid losing data in the cache. - Open the control panel and click "Uninstall a program" under "Programs." Then, right click "IBM Spectrum Archive Single Drive Edtion" and select "Uninstall." - Be sure to restart the system after uninstalling IBM Spectrum Archive.
