CMMVC8015E
The initialize or create system operation failed because a valid new system identifier (ID) cannot be assigned.

Explanation

You cannot initialize or create a system on an enclosure that is already defined as part of a system. A system ID is defined when a system is initialized or created. Either the enclosure already has a system ID defined, or the next system ID on the enclosure midplane is not valid. This condition can occur if a system was previously created and deleted, but the vital product data (VPD) is not cleared.

User response

Ensure that a node on which you attempt to initialize or create a system is not already defined as a system. Ensure that an enclosure on which you attempt to initialize or create a system is not already defined as a system. If a system was previously created and is now deleted, clear the previous system ID by submitting the command satask chenclosurevpd -resetclusterid.
