Go to the following Web site for the most current SDD documentation and support information: www.ibm.com/systems/support/storage/software/sdd/ 2. Go to the following Web site for the IBM TotalStorage product support: www.ibm.com/servers/storage/support/allproducts/index.html 3. Call one of the following numbers to obtain nontechnical or administrative support, such as hardware and software orders, hardware maintenance, services contract of entitlement, and invoices: - For commercial or state and local support operations: 1-877-426-6006 (Listen to the voice prompts.) - For business partner support operations: 1-800-426-9990 - For federal government support operations: 1-800-333-6705 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 DEVICES.FCP.DISK.IBM.MPIO.RTE The devices.fcp.disk.ibm.mpio.rte is a host attachment for AIX. IBM supports the following versions of the host attachment : - v1.0.0.0 - v1.0.0.1 - v1.0.0.2 - v1.0.0.5 - v1.0.0.6 - v1.0.0.7 - v1.0.0.8 - v1.0.0.9 - v1.0.0.10 - v1.0.0.11 - v1.0.0.12 - v1.0.0.14 - v1.0.0.15 - v1.0.0.16 - v1.0.0.18 - v1.0.0.19 - v1.0.0.20 - v1.0.0.21 Please refer to SDDPCM readme file for proper version of host attachment that supports a particular release of SDDPCM. The following sections provide descriptions for the host attachment for AIX. 2.1 v1.0.0.0 This package provides FCP support for ESS, DS8000, and DS6000 devices. Upon installation, this package will replace the ESS Host Attachment for SDDPCM package, devices.fcp.disk.ibm2105.mpio.rte 2.2 v1.0.0.1 This package adds support for 2145 devices. 2.3 v1.0.0.2 This version fixes the following defect: 69434 serial number format in vpd_map attribute for 2145 devices is incorrect This version also changes the model_map attribute of 2145 devices. 2.4 v1.0.0.5 The mode_data attribute now includes the mode page A data. The lun_id and scsi_id attributes have been changed to be displayable but not user changeable. 2.5 v1.0.0.6 The unique_id attribute has been changed to be displayable. 2.6 v1.0.0.7 Two new attributes has been added: - clr_q with default value "no" - q_err with default value "yes" 2.7 v1.0.0.8 The following message have been changed: - Change the message of 'IBM SAN Volume Controller' to 'FC 2145' 2.8 v1.0.0.9 The following attribute default value have been changed: - DS8000 2107 device max_transfer default value is changed from 0x40000 to 0x100000 The following new attribute has been added for 2107 and 1750: - max_retry_delay with default value "600" 2.9 v1.0.0.10 The packaging script file "devices.fcp.disk.ibm.mpio.rte.pre_d" in USR part had a typo in uniquetypes=disk/fcp/2107 which mistakenly allows to uninstall host attachment even when 2107 devices are configured 2.10 v1.0.0.11 This version removes the "maxlun" attribute and let AIX disk driver take the default value of '1' which will walk all luns. "safe_relocate" attribute default value is changed to '0' for RAID storage devices. The packaging script file "devices.fcp.disk.ibm.mpio.rte.pre_d" in USR part is missing an uniquetypes=disk/fcp/2145 string which mistakenly allows to uninstall sddpcm base package without even removing 2145 configured devices. 2.11 v1.0.0.12 The "reset_delay" attribute is removed and therefore FC adapter does no delay and immediately logs in plogi into a device. 2.12 v1.0.0.14 The "max_retry_delay" attribute for 2145 devices was added with 600 seconds. 2.13 v1.0.0.15 This package adds FCP support for DS4100, DS4200, DS4300, DS4500, DS4700, DS4800 devices. This version fixes the following defect: - 4608 lscfg cannot show the Serial Number of DS4K/5K hdisks. 2.16 v1.0.0.19 This version fixes the following defect: - 4624 SDDPCM FCP Host Attachment is not NIM compliant. 2.16 v1.0.0.20 This package adds FCP support for DS3950 device. This version fixes the following defect: - 4666 Add DS3950 device model. - 4676 Support DS4K/5K sanboot and AIX manage_disk_drivers tool. 2.17 v1.0.0.21 This version fixes the following defect: - 4700 change DS5000 PdAt 'deflt' attr to match the AIX setting. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 User license agreement for IBM NOTICE: PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE PROGRAM AND DOCUMENTATION.
