1.0  Overview

  1.1    This update contains a new firmware update for the IBM 6Gb SAS
         Expander 2500 Card Series Firmware Update.  It will update any
         expander attached to any supported controller. Please see the 
	 IBM System Storage Interoperation Center (SSIC) for a list of 
	 supported controllers.
    
  1.2    Limitations:
         - IBM BladeCenter Servers are not supported by this updated.

2.0  Installation and setup instructions
________________________________________
     
  This package can be used with several of IBM's update management tools, 
  including IBM UpdateXpress Manager, IBM UpdateXpress System Packs, IBM 
  ToolCenter Bootable Media Creator, and IBM Director.

  It can also be used as a standalone executable package.  

  To use the package with one of IBM's update management tools, follow the 
  instructions that came with your specific management tool.

  2.1 Standalone usage instructions
  ---------------------------------

  As a standalone package, this executable can be used in the following ways: 
    - to update the firmware on expanders attached to the local system 

  Updating the local system expanders:
    1) Type "ibm_fw_exp_6gb-2500-60sg_windows_32-64.exe -s" at a command prompt.
    2) A DC power cycle is required in order for the update to take effect.
