This hot fix is only valid for Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 users to install Rational Team Concert Visual Studio 6.0.3 client.
The Rational Team Concert Visual Studio 6.0.4 client is the next release that will include these fixes. If you plan to upgrade, upgrade to version 6.0.4 or later.

Note:
This hot fix is a full installation of the Rational Team Concert Visual Studio 6.0.3 client. 
It is a mandatory fix for VS 2017 users. Without this hot fix, users cannot install any further Rational Team Concert Visual studio client iFixes on top of VS 2017. 
It is built on top of Rational Team Concert Visual Studio 6.0.3 iFix005. Hence users installing this need not install iFix005 or any prior iFixes.


To install the Visual Studio client update:

a. Close all the running Visual Studio client(s).
b. Extract the patch zip file to the computer where the RTC Visual Studio client is to be installed.
c. In the IBM Installation Manger, click File > Preferences > Repositories > Add Repository and provide the path to the folder extracted in step b.
d. Click Ok to close Preferences window.
e. Now click on Install in the Installation Manager.
f. Select IBM Rational Team Concert Client for Microsoft Visual Studio IDE package group and click Next.
g. If you agree to the terms, accept the license agreement and click Install.
h. Select the Visual Studio version(s) and click Next.
i. Click on Install.
j. Click Finish to complete installation.
k. After the installation is complete, start the Rational Team Concert Visual Studio client.

To install this Hot fix , the existing Rational Team Concert Visual Studio Client installation has to be uninstalled.

To Uninstall the previous client version:
a. Close all the running Visual Studio client(s).
b. Open IBM Installation Manger.
c. In the IBM Installation Manager, click Uninstall.
d. Select the IBM Rational Team Concert Client for Microsoft Visual Studio IDE package group and click Next.
e. Click on Uninstall.
f. Click Finish.
