Scope

This Test Fix updates System Architect / System Architect Cognos 11.3.1.2.787

Hardware/Software Information

Hardware / Software requirements for this Test Fix are the same as those described in the installation Guide for System Architect.

Getting Started

In addition to the instructions provided in the "Getting Started" section of the System Architect / System Architect Cognos 11.3.1.2.787 Release Notes, please review the following information new in this Test Fix for System Architect / System Architect Cognos.

Installation Information

Prerequisite – System Architect and System Architect Cognos 11.3.1.2 installed.

Licensing

No licensing changes are required when installing this Test Fix.

Installation Instructions

1. Before Installing this TestFix 2 please make a backup of the following files as listed below:
• System Architect / System Architect Cognos Folder (Path: C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\System Architect Suite\11.3.1\System Architect / SA-Cognos) and the files are
1. SARestWebService.exe.config
2. SARestWebService.exe
2. System Architect / System Architect Cognos 11.3.1.2.786 must be installed prior to installing this Test Fix or both can be installed, please refer to the installation guide for the flow.
3. Stop the IBM Rational System Architect Rest Service.
4. Unzip the RATLC01436739_Built_Binaries.zip.
5. If only System Architect is installed then you need to copy these Test Fix binaries in C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\System Architect Suite\11.3.1\System Architect folder. If System Architect Cognos is also present, then place the test fix binaries in C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\System Architect Suite\11.3.1\SA-Cognos.
6. In both folders, edit the SARestWebService.exe.config.
• Change the following from <add key="AddMachineName" value="true" /> to <add key="AddMachineName" value="false" />
7. Save the file.
8. Start the IBM Rational System Architect Rest Service.
