interim fix 602261 from the following location: http://www.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/.
Component name, Platform, Fix ID:
EGO, Linux x86_64, sym-7.3.1-build602261
Follow the
instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts
in your cluster.
System requirements
Linux
x86_64
Installation
a. Log on to the primary host as
the cluster administrator, disable all applications, stop all services, and shut down
your cluster:
> egosh user logon -u Admin
> soamcontrol app disable all -f
> egosh service stop all
> egosh ego shutdown
b. Download the egocore-3.9.0.0_x86_64_build602261.tar.gz to each of your management
hosts, for example, to a /symfixes directory.
c. Run the egoinstallfixes command to install the egocore-3.9.0.0_x86_64_build602261.tar.gz file:
> egoinstallfixes /symfixes/egocore-3.9.0.0_x86_64_build602261.tar.gz
Note: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the
current binary files to a fix backup directory for recovery purposes. Do not
delete this backup directory; you will need it if you want to recover the
original files. For more information on using this command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.
d.
Restart the primary host:
> egosh ego start
e. Run the pversions command to verify the installation:
> pversions
-b 602261
Configuration
and usage
This
enhancement provides a new attribute in the ego.conf file, called EGO_PLATCOMMDRV_BACKLOG_SIZE_ON_LINUX, which allows you to configure the number of connections that can remain
in the backlog for the VEMKD service.
Required
or optional: Optional
Valid
values: 1 to 36864
Default
value: 1024
Configuration
On one
management host, edit the $EGO_CONFDIR/ego.conf file to add the EGO_PLATCOMMDRV_BACKLOG_SIZE_ON_LINUX parameter configuration:
EGO_PLATCOMMDRV_BACKLOG_SIZE_ON_LINUX=value
On each
management host, ensure that the /proc/sys/net/core/somaxconn file is configured correctly. The default maximum number of backlogs
is set to 1024, unless you change this value. Use the following system commands
to change this setting to 2048:
> sudo sysctl -w
net.ipv4.tcp_max_syn_backlog=2048
Modify the
file /etc/sysctl.conf and add the
following line:
net.ipv4.tcp_max_syn_backlog = 2048
> sudo sudo sysctl -p
If required, follow
the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from hosts in
your cluster.

the cluster administrator, disable all applications, stop all services, and shut down
your cluster:

you are using a shared file system), roll back this fix:
> egoinstallfixes
-r 602261
b. Restart
the primary host
> egosh ego start
3.9/linux-x86_64/etc/vemkd 18870cad8ceba763917e012b9f145be8
