Enhancement to update the IBM Spectrum Symphony Developer Edition 7.3.1 CPP SDK header and source files to support the C++17 standard.

1. Scope

Before you install this enhancement to your cluster, note the following requirements:

Operating system	RHEL 8.x 64-bit
Product version	IBM Spectrum Symphony Developer Edition 7.3.1

Out of scope:

Grid synchronization and symexec related SDKs

2. Installation

a. Log on to the IBM Spectrum Symphony Developer Edition host as the cluster administrator and stop the agent:

> soamshutdown

b. For recovery purposes, back up the following folders which will replaced by this enhancement:

$SOAM_HOME/7.3.1/include

$SOAM_HOME/7.3.1/src

c. Download the symde-7.3.1.0_x86_64_build602041.tar.gz file and decompress to the $SOAM_HOME directory, for example:

> tar zxfo symde-7.3.2.0_x86_64_build602041.tar.gz -C $SOAM_HOME

d. From the primary host, start the agent:

> soamstartup &

3. Configuration and usage

After applying this enhancement, ensure that your GCC version supports the C++ 17 standard, and use this standard for compiling.

4. Uninstallation

a. Log on to the IBM Spectrum Symphony Developer Edition host as the cluster administrator and stop the agent:

> soamshutdown

b. Log on to each IBM Spectrum Symphony Developer Edition host in the cluster and remove the installed enhancement:

$SOAM_HOME\7.3.1\include

$SOAM_HOME\7.3.1\src

c. Restore your backup files.

d. From the primary host, start the agent:

> soamstartup &
