This iFix contains fix for the following issues: IT44600 : OpsMgr iFix Part-A: Follow these instructions when PowerVC 2.1.1.1 is already installed ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Copy the included IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR.tgz file to the PowerVC primary node and extract it by using the following command. tar -zxvf IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR.tgz 2) Install the OpsMgr iFix on the PowerVC primary node. cd IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR ./patch_opsmgr.sh 3) Run the following command from the primary node to apply the iFix on non-primary PowerVC nodes. powervc-opsmgr apply-ifix --ifix -c --host Example : powervc-opsmgr apply-ifix --ifix /root/IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR.tgz -c rhel8ppcle --host If the iFix installation fails for the host,rerun the command in Step 3. Note: The can be obtained by running "powervc-opsmgr inventory -l" command. If the inventory is created with hostname, then use hostname in the apply-ifix command. If hostip is used when the inventory is created,then use the hostip in the apply-ifix command. Part-B: Instructions for upgrade from 2.1.1 to 2.1.1.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Download PowerVC 2.1.1.1 GA bundle(powervc-opsmgr--2.1.1.1.tgz) and untar. cd To update the OpsManager, run sh update_opsmgr.sh -s 2) Download the iFix bundle IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR.tgz and untar. 3) Install the OpsManager iFix on the primary node. cd IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR/ ./patch_opsmgr.sh 4) Perform this step only if you have SLES SP3 PowerVC multinode env. Copy the rpm IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR/packages/sles15-ppc64le/python3-autopage-0.5.1-1.ibm.noarch.rpm from primary node to non-primary nodes. rpm -Uvh python3-autopage-0.5.1-1.ibm.noarch.rpm 5) Proceed with the PowerVC upgrade process on all nodes. 6) Run the following command from the primary node to apply iFix on non-primary PowerVC nodes. powervc-opsmgr apply-ifix --ifix -c --host Example : powervc-opsmgr apply-ifix --ifix /root/IT44600-2.1.1.1-OPSMGR.tgz -c rhel8ppcle --host If the iFix installation fails for the host, rerun the command in step 6. Note: The can be obtained by running "powervc-opsmgr inventory -l" command. If the inventory is created with hostname, then use hostname in the apply-ifix command.
