Installing or Updating IBM Content Navigator Version 3.0.13 Interim Fix 4

The following information and steps apply to IBM Content Navigator. To install the interim fix, perform the steps below using the interim fix executable. When you install an interim fix, you can run the installation wizard or run a silent installation. The interim fix can be installed as an update to IBM Content Navigator Version 3.0.13.0 or later.

The interim fix installation program updates the files in the directory where IBM Content Navigator is installed. After the installation program completes successfully, restart the web application server and redeploy the IBM Content Navigator web application to apply the changes from the interim fix.

To install IBM Content Navigator, Version 3.0.13 Interim Fix 4:

  1. Back up your current installation of IBM Content Navigator including the master cryptographic key. For more information about backing up the master key, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/869440
  2. Ensure that the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool is closed.
  3. Log in to the IBM Content Navigator server with the IBM Content Navigator installer account.
  4. Install the interim fix by running the installation wizard or by running a silent installation:
    Important: Do not enter line breaks in the command that you enter to start the installation program.

    AIX

    At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the interim fix and enter one of the following commands:

    Linux

    At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the interim fix and enter one of the following commands:

    Linux for System z

    At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the interim fix and enter one of the following commands:

    Windows

    At a command prompt, change to the directory where you downloaded the interim fix and enter one of the following commands:

  5. Open the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment tool, click File > Open Deployment Profile, select the target deployment profile and click Open.

  6. If the External Share feature is needed, then perform the bulleted steps below and then continue to Step 7, else continue to Step 7

  7. Run the "Configuring the IBM Content Navigator web application" task.   8. Run the "Build the Web Application" task. For more instructions, see the topic, Rebuilding the IBM Content Navigator web application in the information center: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/content-navigator/3.0.12?topic=server-building-web-application.

  9. Run the "Deploy the Web Application" task in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool for the profile that you want to redeploy.

  10. Stop the IBM Content Navigator web application server.

  11. Clear the application server cache:

  12. Start the IBM Content Navigator web application server.

  14. If IBM Content Navigator is configured for a high availability environment, see https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/869440 to ensure the crypto keys are set up properly in all servers.

Removing the interim fix

When you uninstall the interim fix, you also uninstall IBM Content Navigator.

The interim fix for IBM Content Navigator uninstallation program removes the program and all applied fixes. You cannot remove only the interim fix.

Updating the Edit Service client

To update the Edit Service client, uninstall the old version and install the new version on both Windows and Mac OS.

IO29222 Object store administrators cannot edit teamspaces.

(IBM FileNet Content Manager users) Object store administrators cannot edit teamspaces. This can lead to the teamspace being locked out from modification if the teamspace owner ID is deactivated. With this fix, object store administrators can edit teamspaces.


IO29229 Content Manager users) User information is returned in response for requests related to entry templates and saved searches.

(IBM FileNet Content Manager users) User information is returned in response for requests related to entry templates and saved searches. With this fix, the user information is not included in the response.


IO29234 ODWEK trace level 0 setting does not persist in the UI after setting it and saving the change.

(IBM Content Manager OnDemand users) ODWEK trace level 0 setting does not persist in the UI after setting it and saving the change. Upon reopening the Content Manager OnDemand section in the administration desktop, the ODWEK trace level is seen to be 1 instead of 0. With this fix, this symptom does not occur.


IO29237 Annotations on documents may fail to be displayed if the ESN is not 0.

(IBM Filenet Content Manager users) If the primary document's element sequence number (ESN) is not 0, annotations on the document may fail to be displayed. With this fix, the annotations display correctly.


IO29239 Download All Parts as PDF may fail on some PDFs.

(IBM Content Manager users) Download All Parts as PDF fails on some PDFs when using Snowbound engine. With this fix, this symptom does not occur.


IO29243 Document properties are not displayed when viewing document from Multi-Parts tab.

(IBM Content Manager users) Document properties are not displayed when the document is opened in a viewer by opening the Properties dialog, then opening the document part from the Multi-Parts tab and then clicking on the View Properties icon of the viewer window. With this fix, the properties are displayed using this method as well.


IO29250 All fields of entry template may not appear when adding a document.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When adding a document using an entry template, not all the fields appear the first time in a new browser session. With this fix, this symptom is resolved.


IO29251 Simple Search filter does not display correctly when desktop theme is set to 'Classic'.

Simple Search filter does not display correctly when desktop theme is set to 'Classic'. With this fix, the filter displays correctly in 'Classic' theme.


IO29264 The padding option cannot be saved on Titled Layout.

(IBM Content Navigator users) After changing the padding option on a Titled Layout in an entry template, the change is not saved after close the entry template. With this fix, this problem is resolved.



Fixes included in IBM Content Navigator 3.0.13 IF003

IO29180 Cannot move files inside bookmark link for folder.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When viewing a folder using bookmark link, DnD action on files inside the folder to move or copy them, will fail. With this fix, this action will succeed.


IO29191 Error seen when using inline editable list with large number of values for multi-valued field in entry template.

(IBM Content Manager users) An error is seen when using more than 10 values for a multi-valued field of an entry template that uses an inline editable list. Adding more than 10 items causes an error state to occur, requiring the user to double click on the field to make it editable again. With this fix, the editor will remain in editable state.


IO29192 Uproperty modification access is not honored for users without edit properties permission.

(IBM FileNet Content Manager users) When opening the Properties dialog, properties with property modification access are not editable for users without edit properties permission. With this fix, properties with property modification access can be edited for users with or without edit properties permission.


IO29202 Plugin configuration data are not retrieved intermittently.

IBM Content Navigator users) Plugin feature or user configuration data are not retrieved intermittently. With this fix, the problem does not occur.


IO29210 Only the frst document added by entry template is filed in the 'Save In' location specified in the entry template.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When only one entry template is associated to a folder, only the first document added using the entry template is filed correctly to the folder specified as the Save In location in the entry template. Subsequent documents are not correctly filed to the Save In location and are instead added as unfiled documents. With this fix, documents are always added to the folder specified as the Save In location in the entry template.


IO29218 Copy link/icon in Folders Filed In tab, of Properties dialog, does not work.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Copy link/icon in the Doc Info (right) pane in 'Folders Filed In' tab, of Properties dialog, does not work. The link is not copied. With this fix, the link is copied.


IO29219 Actions button in Content Elements or Multiparts tab of Properties dialog of a document works only the first time.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Actions button in Content Elements or Multiparts tab of Properties dialog of a document works only the first time if the Print action is attempted. The button does not work if clicked again after the Print action is attempted. With this fix, this symptom does not occur and the button works every time.


IO29233 Cannot open custom viewer intermittently.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Documents cannot be opened using a custom viewer intermittently. Documents can be opened subsequently once the viewer window is opened. With this fix, the problem is fixed.


JR65277 Batch upload dialog disappears before server completes processing.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When uploading documents, the batch status file list dialog disappears before the server completes processing the file. his is more evident when processing large documents, over 2GB in size. With this fix, the status shows 'Uploading' until the document is fully uploaded to the repository and then a green check mark is displayed indicating successful completion of the operation.

IO29075 Task Manager generates multiple errors like 'INFO: EXIT PING: RESULT=NULL.'

(IBM Content Navigator users) Task Manager generates multiple errors like 'INFO: EXIT PING: RESULT=NULL.' With this fix, this symptom does not occur.


IO29101 Folder actions are disabled in IBM Content Manager (CM8).

(IBM Content Manager users) The Add to Folder and Move to Folder actions are disabled for Content Manager repositories that were added to a desktop in Content Manager 8.4.2 or earlier, even if the logged in user has all the required privileges to perform these actions. With this fix, these actions are made available as long as the logged in user has the required privileges.


IO29131 Unable to save security changes on CM8 teamspace templates.

(IBM Content Manager users) The action of updating security on a teamspace template fails with an error stating that the properties cannot be updated as the item is not checked out. With this fix, this symptom is resolved.


IO29135 Add Document button is disable after opening a folder from search results, though user has add privilege.

(IBM Content Manager users) Add Document button is disabled after opening a folder from search results, though user has add privilege and can add to the folder using drag and drop action. With this fix, this symptom is resolved.


IO29153 Cannot log in to object store when the URL contains a query string.

(IBM FileNet Content Manager users) When logging into a FileNet Content Manager repository, an error occurs when the repository server URL contains a query string, https:////wsi/FNCEWS40MTOM/?useBasicAuth=true. With this fix, this symptom is resolved.


IO29154 Date-only property values are off by a day.

(IBM FileNet Content Manager users) Date values of properties with the isDateOnly flag set to true are off by a day. With this fix, the date-only feature can be disabled so that dates are displayed in the user's time zone.


IO29161 Document is not displayed in Favorites root folder using filmstrip view.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Document may not be displayed in Filmstrip view of Favorites root folder, if the default previewer cannot display the document. With this fix, the problem does not occur.


IO29162 Edit Service client reports a USN mismatch during checkin.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Edit Service client reports a USN mismatch during checkin. With this fix, this issue does not occur.


IO29163 CORSFilter needs to remove colon when port is not defined.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When CORSFilter is defined without a port, the URL is generated with a colon at the end. With this fix, the URL is generated without the port and without a colon at the end.


IO29164 Print action from inside AJAX Viewer does not work.

(IBM Content Manager users) Users may experience a situation when printing documents in the AJAX Viewer. It opens a new window, but displays a blank page. With this fix, users will be able to print their documents using the AJAX Viewer.


IO29166 Rendering of entry templates fails sometimes.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Rendering of entry templates fails sometimes. An error may be seen in the browser's console log, referencing the LoadManager.loadOnDemand method. With this fix, this symptom does not occur.


IO29170 Date is changed on date-only property from entry template.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When selecting a date value for a date-only property, i.e a datetime property configured with unchecking the 'Display in UTC' option in the layout of an entry template, the selected date value is seen to change. With this fix, this problem is resolved.


IO29171 Warning dialog is displayed when checkout fails.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When checking out a document fails, a misleading warning message is displayed. With this fix, a better error message is displayed.


IO29178 Edit Service client cannot download document with a multivalued integer property containing 10K values.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Edit Service client cannot download document with a multivalued integer property containing 10K values. With this fix, this issue is resolved.

Fixes included in IBM Content Navigator 3.0.13 IF001

IO29047 Teamspace added as a Favorite, displays with folder icon in Favorites(Home) instead of with teamspace icon.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When using any language other than English in the desktop, if a teamspace is added as a Favorite, it displays with folder icon in Favorites(Home) instead of with teamspace icon. If English language is used, the teamspace is added with teamspace icon. With this fix, the teamspace is added to Favorites(Home) using teamspace icon even when non-English language is used.


IO29056 The error message displayed when Add Document action fails, is confusing.

(IBM Content Navigator users)The error message displayed when Add Document action fails, is confusing. With this fix, the error message is improved.


IO29060 Unexpected horizontal scroll bar is shown when Titled Layout is added into Tabbed Layout.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When adding a Titled Layout into a Tabbed layout in an Entry Template, an unexpected horizontal scroll bar is seen on the Titled Layout. With this fix, this symptom is resolved.


IO29061 Refreshing the viewer window causes unlocking of the document being viewed.

(IBM Content Manager users) When cmViewerAutoCheckout parameter is set to true, a document is automatically checked out and marked with a lock icon when opened in the viewer. When the viewer window is refreshed, the document is unlocked. With this fix, the document remains locked. is unlocked when user refresh document in the viewer with cmViewerAutoCheckout is set to true. With this fix, document remains locked.


IO29063 Annotations can be edited even when 'annotateEdit' set to false.

(IBM Content Navigator users) When 'annotateEdit' is set to false, the annotation toolbar is hidden but annotations can still be edited although the changes cannot be saved. With this fix, the annotation toolbar remains hidden and the annotations cannot be edited.


IO29071 Choice list's display values may be missing for a locale that does not have an associated country.

(IBM FileNet Content Manager users) Choice list's display values may be missing for a locale that does not have an associated country. This can happen for example, if the choice list values are defined for only en-US, but the browser is switched to a locale that does not have an associated country. With this fix, this symptom does not occur.


IO29074 Cannot save properties once EDS dependent properties are re-rendered.

(IBM Content Navigator users) After modifying an object-valued property value, update a regular property that has EDS-enabled dependent properties. This triggers a re-rendering of the dependent properties. But when the changes are attempted to be saved, the save action fails. With this fix, this symptom does not occur and the changes can be saved successfully.


IO29083 Incorrect Hebrew translation for email template fields.

(IBM Content Navigator users) The email template fields From, To, Bcc and Add Message have incorrect Hebrew translation in both Java-based and HTML-based email services. With this fix, the correct translation is displayed.


IO29085 Missing translation for Filter Widget.

(IBM Content Navigator users) Some translations are missing for the Filter Widget 'ecm/widget/listView/modules/FilterData'. With this fix, the translations are provided.
