This interim fix allows a root consumer (/) with the CONSUMER_ADMIN role to change the Docker > ContainerDefinition  >containerUser setting in the IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.3.2 application profile.

Download interim fix 601593 from the following location: https://www.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/.

4.    Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts in your cluster.

Prerequisites

Fix 601349 must be installed before this fix package.

System requirements

Linux x86_64           

Installation

a.     Log on to each management host as the cluster administrator and source your environment:

(BASH) . $EGO_TOP/profile.platform

(CSH) source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform

b.     Log on as the cluster administrator, and stop the SD service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x password

> egosh service stop SD

c.     Download the fix package to each of your management host to, for example, a /symfixes directory.

d.     Run the egoinstallfixes command to install the soamcore-7.3.2.0_x86_64_build601593.tar.gz file:

> egoinstallfixes /symfixes/soamcore-7.3.2.0_x86_64_build601593.tar.gz

Note: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory for recovery purposes. Do not delete this backup directory; you will need it if you want to recover the original files. For more information on using this command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.

 

e.     As the cluster administrator, add following line for the CONSUMER_ADMIN role in the $EGO_CONFDIR/RBAC_Role_SOAM.xml file on the management host:

<Permission>SOAM_CONFIGURE_DOCKER_SERVICE_OS_EXECUTION_USER</Permission>

f.       Restart the primary host:

> egosh ego restart

g.     Run the pversions command to verify the installation:

> pversions -b 601593

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from hosts from your cluster.

a.     Log on to each management host as the cluster administrator and source your environment:

(BASH) . $EGO_TOP/profile.platform

(CSH) source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform

b.     Log on as the cluster admin, and stop the SD service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x password

> egosh service stop SD

c.     Roll back the interim fix:

> egoinstallfixes -r 601593

d.     Remove the following line from the $EGO_CONFDIR/RBAC_Role_SOAM.xml file on the management host:

<Permission>SOAM_CONFIGURE_DOCKER_SERVICE_OS_EXECUTION_USER</Permission>

e.     Restart the primary host:

> egosh ego restart
