This fix resolves the following issues for an IBM Spectrum Conductor 2.5.1 cluster with Fix 601350:

-        An EGOSC crash issue, which is triggered by querying EGO services by a non cluster administrator user.

-        An egosh crash issue, when running the egosh command on a shut down cluster.

4.    Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts in your cluster.

Prerequisites

Fix 601350 must be installed before applying this fix package.

System requirements

Linux x86_64 or Linux on POWER 64-bit

Installing on IBM Spectrum Conductor management and compute hosts

a.     Download the fix package to each of the management and compute host, for example, to a /scfixes directory.

b.     Run the egoinstallfixes command to install the egocore-4.0.0.0_x86_64_build601488.tar.gz or egocore-4.0.0.0_ppc64le_build601488.tar.gz files:

· For Linux x86_64: > egoinstallfixes /scfixes/egocore-4.0.0.0_x86_64_build601488.tar.gz

· For Linux on POWER 64-bit: > egoinstallfixes /scfixes/egocore-4.0.0.0_ppc64le_build601488.tar.gz

Note: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory for recovery purposes. Do not delete this backup directory; you will need it if you want to recover the original files. For more information on using this command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.

 

c.     Run the pversions command to verify the installation:

> pversions -b 601488

d.     Restart the primary host:

> egosh ego logon -u Admin -x password

> egosh ego restart

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from your cluster:

Uninstalling from IBM Spectrum Conductor management and compute hosts

a.     Log on to each of the management and compute host, and then running this command to roll back the fix:

> egoinstallfixes -r 601488

b.     Restart the primary host:

> egosh ego restart
