Readme file for: IBM® Power Virtualization Center Publication Date: Mar 7th 2023 This iFix applies to IBM PowerVC 2.1.0 RHEL based systems. Note: Ensure that the name of the maintenance file was not changed when it was downloaded. This change might be intentional, or it might be an inadvertent change that is caused by certain web browsers or download utilities. This OpsManager iFix addresses the following issues: IT43104 - yum update fails for ansible package conflict. IT43106 - PowerVC-2.1.0 support for RHEL8.6-EUS, RHEL8.7, RHEL9.1 install. Listed below are the iFix install procedures pertaining to the scenarios - a. Existing PowerVC installation b. Fresh installation of PowerVC. c. PowerVC upgrade. Part-A: Instructions when PowerVC 2.1.0 is already installed ------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Take backup of PowerVC. 2) Copy IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0.tgz file to all nodes of the PowerVC system and extract by using the following command. tar -xvzf IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0.tgz 3) Install the OpsManager iFix on all nodes. cd IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0 sh install.sh Part-B: Instructions for PowerVC 2.1.0 fresh install supported only for RHEL based systems. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note:- Make sure you clean up the environment before performing fresh install. 1) Download PowerVC 2.1.0 GA bundle(powervc-opsmgr--2.1.0.tgz) and untar. cd 2) Download the iFix bundle IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0.tgz and untar. Ensure the untar operation is performed inside the directory. tar -xvzf IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0.tgz 3) Execute patch_opsmgr and setup_opsmgr on the primary node. cd IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0 sh patch_opsmgr.sh cd .. sh setup_opsmgr.sh 4) Proceed with the inventory creation process and installation as per the Knowledge Centre. Part-C: Instructions for PowerVC 2.1.0 upgrade from 2.0.3 --------------------------------------------- 1) Download PowerVC 2.1.0 GA bundle(powervc-opsmgr--2.1.0.tgz) and untar. cd 2) Download the iFix bundle IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0.tgz and untar. Ensure the untar operation is performed inside the directory. tar -xvzf IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0.tgz 3) Execute patch opsmgr and update opsmgr command on the primary node. cd IT43104_IT43106-2.1.0 sh patch_opsmgr.sh cd .. sh update_opsmgr.sh 4) Proceed with the PowerVC upgrade process on all nodes. Run powervc-opsmgr update -c -n After installation, verify the RPM packages on all nodes.
