This interim fix resolves an issue when unsuccessfully creating a
provider instance, which results in some configuration files remaining within
the cluster management consoles for IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.3.2 with Fix
601349.

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts in your cluster.
System requirements

Installation
a. Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and stop the HostFactory service:
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x password
>
egosh service stop HostFactory
b. Download the hfcore-1.2.0.0_x86_64_build601482.tar.gz package to each of your management hosts, for example, to a /symfixes directory.
c. Run the egoinstallfixes command to install the hfcore-1.2.0.0_x86_64_build601482.tar.gz file on each of your management hosts:
>
egoinstallfixes /symfixes/hfcore-1.2.0.0_x86_64_build601482.tar.gz
Important: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory. For recovery purposes of the original file, do not delete this backup directory. For more information on using this command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.
d. Run the pversions command to verify the installation:
> pversions -b 601482
e. Run
the following commands:
mv
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/aws/sampleconf/log4j.xml $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/aws/sampleconf/log4j.xml.old
mv
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/azure/sampleconf/log4j.xml
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/azure/sampleconf/log4j.xml.old
mv $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/ibmcloud/sampleconf/log4j.xml
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/ibmcloud/sampleconf/log4j.xml.old
mv $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/samples/providerplugins/custom/conf/log4j.xml
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/samples/providerplugins/custom/conf/log4j.xml.old
mv $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/samples/providerplugins/custom/src/log4j.xml
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/samples/providerplugins/custom/src/log4j.xml.old

From the primary host, start the HostFactory
service:
>
egosh service start HostFactory
If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from hosts in your cluster.
a. Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and stop the HostFactory service:
> egosh user logon -u Admin -x password
> egosh service stop HostFactory
b. Log on to each management host in the cluster and roll back this interim fix:
> egoinstallfixes -r 601482
c. Run the following commands:
mv
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/aws/sampleconf/log4j.xml.old $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/aws/sampleconf/log4j.xml
mv
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/azure/sampleconf/log4j.xml.old
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/azure/sampleconf/log4j.xml
mv $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/ibmcloud/sampleconf/log4j.xml.old
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/providerplugins/ibmcloud/sampleconf/log4j.xml
mv
$EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/samples/providerplugins/custom/conf/log4j.xml.old $EGO_TOP/hostfactory/1.2/samples/providerplugins/custom/conf/log4j.xml

d. Start the HostFactory
