This interim fix allows you to set both EGO_ENABLE_COMPRESS_STATUS_FILE=Y
and EGO_ENABLE_FSYNC=Y configurations
settings in the ego.conf file,
so that you can use the file compression and file synchronization (fsync) features at the same time in an IBM Spectrum Symphony cluster.

Follow the instructions in this section to
download and install this interim fix on hosts in your cluster.
System requirements

Installation
a. On each management host, create a directory (for example, /symfixes directory) and download the egocore-3.7.0_x86_64_build601171.tar.gz to the directory.
b. Run the egoinstallfixes command to install the egocore-3.7.0_x86_64_build601171.tar.gz file:
>
egoinstallfixes /symfixes/egocore-3.7.0_x86_64_build601171.tar.gz
Important:
Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix
backup directory. For recovery purposes of the original file, do not
delete this backup directory. For more information on using this command,
see the egoinstallfixes
command reference.
c. Run the pversions command to verify the installation:
>
pversions -b 601171
d. From the primary host, restart the cluster:
>
egosh ego restart
If required, follow the instructions in this
section to uninstall this interim fix from hosts in your cluster.
a. On each
management host in the cluster, roll back this
interim fix:
> egoinstallfixes -r 601171
b. From the primary host, restart the cluster:
> egosh ego
restart
