This interim fix resolves an issue that
would occur after installing interim fix sym-7.2.0.2-build600802 in an IBM
Spectrum Symphony 7.2.0.2 cluster, where an end user who does not have
EGO_ACTIVITY_VIEW permission on the root consumer is unable to query the
activities for which the user has permission.

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on your cluster.

Installation
and configuration
a.
Log on to
the
primary host as the cluster administrator, and shut down all primary and primary candidate hosts:
> egosh ego shutdown hostname
b.
On each
management host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system) host
in the cluster, backup the following files:
$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/etc/vemkd
c.
On each
management host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system), copy
the sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build600870.tar.gz package and decompress it to the $EGO_TOP installation directory:
> tar zxof
sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build600870.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP
d.
Log on to the
primary host as the cluster administrator, and start all primary and primary candidate hosts:
> egosh ego start hostname

Uninstallation
If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from your cluster:
a. Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator, and shut down all primary and primary candidate hosts:
> egosh ego shutdown hostname
b.
On each
management host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system) in the
cluster, restore the following files from your backup:
$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/etc/vemkd
c.
Log on to
the primary host as the cluster administrator, and start all primary and primary candidate hosts:
> egosh ego start hostname
