4.    Installation and configuration

Follow these steps to download and install this interim fix on the hosts in your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installing on Linux management hosts

a.     Log on to the primary host in your cluster as the cluster administrator and shut down all primary candidate hosts in the cluster:

> egosh ego shutdown hostname

b.     Log on to each management host as the cluster administrator and source your environment:

(BASH) . $EGO_TOP/profile.platform

(CSH) source $EGO_TOP/cshrc.platform

c.     Download the package to each of your management hosts to, for example, to a /symfixes directory.

d.     Run the egoinstallfixes command to install the egocore-3.9.0.0_x86_64_build600728.tar.gz file:

> egoinstallfixes /symfixes/egocore-3.9.0.0_x86_64_build600728.tar.gz

Note: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory for recovery purposes. Do not delete this backup directory; you will need it if you want to recover the original files. For more information on using this command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.

e.     From the primary host, start each primary candidate host:

> egosh ego start hostname

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow these steps to uninstall this interim fix from the hosts in your cluster.

a.     Log on to the Linux primary host in your cluster as the cluster administrator and shut down all primary candidate hosts in the cluster:

> egosh ego shutdown hostname

b.     Log on to each Linux management host in the cluster and roll back this interim fix:

> egoinstallfixes -r 600728

c.     From the primary host, start each primary candidate host:

> egosh ego start hostname
