4.    Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts in your cluster.

Prerequisites

sym-7.2.0.2-build600461-ms (RFE 141889)

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installation on IBM Spectrum Symphony management hosts

a.   Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator, disable all applications and stop the SD service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin

> soamcontrol app disable all -f

> egosh service stop SD

b.       Log on to each management host and back up the following binary file:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.2/linux-x86_64/etc/ssm

c.       On each management host, copy the sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build600697.tar.gz package and decompress it to the $EGO_TOP directory:

> tar zxof sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build600697.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.       Start the SD service and enable your applications:

> egosh service start SD

> soamcontrol app enable appName

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from hosts in your cluster.

Uninstalling from IBM Spectrum Symphony management hosts

a.       Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator, disable all applications and stop the SD service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> soamcontrol app disable all -f

> egosh service stop SD

b.       On each management host, restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.2/linux-x86_64/etc/ssm

c.       Start the SD service and enable your applications:

> egosh service start SD

> soamcontrol app enable appName
