This interim fix provides several fixes and enhancements related to the Dask 1.0 component, including:

 

-        Support TCP communication protocol changes on versions 2021.2.0 and higher of the conda package called “distributed”.

-        Additional support for a parameter in the Dask configuration in the GUI for the amount of time for workers to wait for a scheduler before closing.

-        Silencing of the output of scheduler unregistration from the Dask manager when schedulers have already been unregistered.

-        A fix for an issue relating to comparison of the number of starting workers and the minimum number of workers.

-        Automatic generation of the BINARY_TYPE environment variable if it has no value set when the Dask manager starts.

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix to your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64 or Linux ppc64le

Installation

a)    Download the sc-2.5.0.0_build600475.tgz package to a local directory on your computer. Decompress the file. Once decompressed, you will have the following Dask package:

       Dask1.0-Conductor2.5.0.tgz

b)     Launch a browser and clear your browser cache.

c)     Log in to the cluster management console as a cluster administrator.

d)     Update the Dask 1.0 package on the cluster:

       1. Click Resources > Frameworks > Component Management

       2. Click Update

       3. Click Choose File and select the Dask1.0-Conductor2.5.0.tgz package downloaded previously.

       4.Click Update

e)     If you have any instance groups already using the Dask component, apply updates to each of these instance groups:

1. Navigate to Workload > Instance Groups

2. Select the instance group and click Stop.

3. Click the Available: 1 link in the Updates column.

4. Click Update.
