This interim fix resolves a reclaim issue for exclusive consumers in IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.1.2 and IBM Spectrum Conductor with Spark 2.2.1. With this fix, an exclusive consumer with hybrid owned slots can now reclaim exclusive consumers with zero hybrid owned slots.

4.    Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix on hosts in your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64           

Prerequisites:

Interim fix sym-7.1.2-build541434 must be installed and enabled in your cluster.

Installation

a.      Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and shut down all primary candidate hosts:

> egosh ego shutdown hostname

b.      On each primary candidate host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system), back up the following file:

$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/lib/policy/libslot.so

c.      On each primary candidate host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system), download the sym-7.1.2.0-cws-2.2.1.0_x86_64-build600414.tar.gz package and decompress it to the $EGO_TOP directory:

> tar zxfo sym-7.1.2.0-cws-2.2.1.0_x86_64-build600414.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      From the primary host, start each primary candidate host:

> egosh ego start hostname

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from hosts in your cluster.

a.     Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and shut down all primary candidate hosts:

> egosh ego shutdown hostname

b.     Log on to each primary candidate host in the cluster and restore the backup file:

$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/lib/policy/libslot.so

c.      From the primary host, start each primary candidate host:

> egosh ego start hostname
