Installing the Interim Fix for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office

Follow the instructions for deploying IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office in Planning, Installing, and Configuring IBM Content Navigator.

If you are installing the fix pack on top of another version of IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, the installation program detects your current installation and upgrades your installation. The upgrade uses all of the settings that you specified when you installed IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office.

Removing the Interim Fix

When you uninstall the interim fix, you also uninstall IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office.

The interim fix for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office uninstallation programs remove the program and all applied fixes. You cannot remove only the interim fix.

APAR Description
IO28020
(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users)  In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, when set to Hebrew language, the browse pane horizontal scroll bar defaults its position to the left-most position instead of the right. With this fix, when using Navigator for Microsoft Office set to Hebrew language, the browse pane horizontal scroll bar will default scrolled to the right.

(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users)  In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, when set to Hebrew language, the "Save in" setting when adding a document with an entry template has the folder name partially covered up by the folder icon when the entry template has the "hide save in" setting enabled. With this fix, the folder name is not covered up when using an entry template with the "hide save in" setting enabled when used with the Hebrew language.

(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users)  In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, when set to Hebrew language, the add document dialog is displaying oriented left to right instead of right to left. With this fix, when using Navigator for Microsoft Office set to Hebrew language, the add document dialog is displayed right to left.

(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office admins) The IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office addin installed on Outlook is sometimes disabled by Outlook because of slow loading times.  With this fix, an installation parameter (OUTLOOK_LOAD_ON_DEMAND=true) is available to set the Outlook addin to be loaded on demand instead of on startup.

(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) An error or warning is displayed when using Send file as Link action in IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office when MS Outlook is configured to restrict programmatic access. With this fix, Send file as Link action succeeds when MS Outlook is configured to restrict programmatic access.

APAR Description
IO27802
(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users)    In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, when the Office application window is moved to the secondary display in a multiple display system, drop down windows such as calendar controls, multiple value editors, etc. will show up in the main display, separated from the office application window. With this fix, the drop down windows will show up in the same display that the office application is in.

(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) Attempt to add a document from IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office fails when static roles are used which do not have members assigned to them. With this fix, documents can be added successfully even when using static roles that do not have members assigned to them.
IO27813
(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) When adding a document, static roles defined in the default instance security of the class are not detected and added to the document security. With this fix, the static roles are detected and added to document security.
IO27834
(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, when opening folders by double clicking on them in the bottom list, a folder named "Loading..." is showing in the folder tree and it is not removed.
With this fix, the folder with the "Loading..." message is removed or not displayed when double clicking on folder to open them.

(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) When using IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office to add documents to a teamspace, if the desktop has the "Delete local files when users add documents" setting enabled, the local file is not deleted.  With this fix the local file will be deleted after adding the document to a teamspace.
IO27902
(IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office admins)  When Onedrive file sync is enabled on the default Office directory, Navigator for Microsoft Office is unable to track opened files, so the checkout and checkin button states are not updated.  With this fix, a different document directory can be specified so that Naviator for Office can track the opened files and the checkout/checkin buttons will reflect the current status of the document.  A new Configuration.ini setting is added: DocumentPath, which can be set to a predefined path, or use %HOME% for the home directory, %MYDOCUMENTS% for the documents directory, or use an environment variable %env var%.

APAR Description
IO27633 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, Search templates with properties with choice lists populated with EDS are not displaying the choice lists when the search template is searching multiple classes.
With this fix, the choice lists will display for multi-class searches on EDS properties.
IO27664 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) In Navigator for Microsoft Office, the error "The given key was not present in the dictionary."  is displayed sometimes when opening the properties pane of a document from the search results list. With this fix, the properties pane is displayed without error from the search results list.
