4.  Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix to your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installation

a.      Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and stop the SD service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop SD

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and back up the following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.2/linux-x86_64/etc/sd

c.      On each management host, copy the sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build557371.tar.gz package and extract its contents to the $EGO_TOP installation directory:

> tar zxfo sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build557371.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      Run the ”sd -V” command to verify the installation:

> sd -V

e.      From the primary host, start the SD service:

> egosh service start SD

5.  Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from your cluster.

a.      Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and stop the SD service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop SD

b.      Log on to each management host and restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.2/linux-x86_64/etc/sd

c.      From the primary host, start the SD service:

> egosh service start SD
