4.    Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installation

a.      Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and shut down all management hosts:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh ego shutdown hostname

b.      On each management host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system), back up the following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/3.3/linux-x86_64/etc/vemkd

c.      On each management host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system), copy the pssasetup2015_linux—x86_64_build555149.tar.gz package and extract its contents to the $EGO_TOP installation directory:

> tar zxfo pssasetup2015_linux—x86_64_build555149.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      Run the “vemkd -V” command to verify the installation:

> vemkd -V

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.

a.     Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and shut down all primary candidate hosts:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh ego shutdown hostname

b.     On each management host (or just one host if you are using a shared file system), restore your backup for the following file:

$EGO_TOP/3.3/linux-x86_64/etc/vemkd

c.      From the primary host, start all management hosts:

> egosh ego start hostname
