Installation

a)       Log on to the primary host as the cluster administrator and stop the WEBGUI service:

Note: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory for recovery purposes. Do not delete this backup directory; you will need it if you want to recover the original files. For more information on using this command, see the egoinstallfixes command reference.

d)    On each of your hosts, run the pversions command to verify the installation:

e)    Add the following environment variables to the $EGO_CONFDIR/../../ascd/conf/ascd.conf configuration file:

    Name: ASCD_AUTO_RETRIEVE_REMOTE_LOGS

    Value: ON|OFF

Description: Use this environment variable to enable or disable the cluster management console to automatically retrieve Spark application stdout logs when viewing the Spark application details. If not specified, the default value is ON.

    Name: ASCD_RETRIEVE_REMOTE_LOGS_REST_TIMEOUT

    Value: Any positive integer

Description: Use this environment variable to specify the time, in seconds, to use as the timeout for the REST call to retrieve Spark application logs from the cluster management console. If not specified, the default value is 60 seconds.

f)     From the primary host, start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI
