Abstract

P103606. This fix specifies whether the root user can run LSF License Scheduler commands as a valid user from the LSF command line.

Description

Readme documentation for IBM Spectrum LSF 10.1 Fix 548258 including installation-related instructions, prerequisites and co-requisites, and list of fixes.

This fix addresses the following issue:

If you need to temporarily run LSF License Scheduler commands with root privileges, specify LS_ROOT_USER=Y in the Parameters section of the lsf.licensescheduler file. When you are done, you must disable this parameter to ensure that your cluster remains secure.

This parameter allows the root user to run the bladmin, blkill, globauth, and taskman commands as a valid user.

The default value is N.
