When your resource plan is enabled for consumer-level exclusive slot allocation, an exclusive consumer might be reclaimed unexpectedly even when the total usable slots is not reduced. This interim fix resolves this unexpected reclaim issue in an IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.1.2 and IBM Spectrum Conductor with Spark 2.2.1 cluster.

Follow the instructions in this
section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.
System requirements
Linux x86_64
Installation
a. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and shut down all
master candidate hosts:
$ egosh
ego shutdown <hostname>
b. On each master candidate host (or just one host if
you are using a shared file system), back up the following file, which will be
replaced by this interim fix:
$EGO_LIBDIR/policy/libslot.so
c. On each master candidate host (or just one host if
you are using a shared file system), copy the sym-7.1.2.0-cws-2.2.1.0_x86_64-build536393.tar.gz package and extract its
contents to the $EGO_TOP installation directory:
$ tar zxfo sym-7.1.2.0-cws-2.2.1.0_x86_64-build536393.tar.gz
-C $EGO_TOP
d. From the master host, start all master candidate
hosts:
$ egosh
ego start <hostname>
5. Uninstallation
If required, follow the
instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.
a. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and shut down all
master candidate hosts:
$ egosh
ego shutdown <hostname>
b. On each management host (or just one host if you are
using a shared file system), restore your backup for the following file:
$EGO_LIBDIR/policy/libslot.so
c. From the master host, start all master candidate
hosts:
$ egosh
ego start <hostname>
