4.    Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installation

a.     Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

b.     On each management host, back up the following files for recovery purposes:

$EGO_TOP/gui/3.4/lib/soamgui.jar

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.2/symgui/WEB-INF/lib/soamgui.jar

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.2/soamgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/soam/gui/api/SOAMAppList.class

NOTE: To avoid compatibility issues, ensure that you move the files to another directory altogether.

c.      On each management host, download the sym-7.1.2_x86_64_build532044.tar.gz file and extract its contents to the top-level installation directory, for example:

> tar zxfo sym-7.1.2_x86_64_build532044.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP/

d.     Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

(Optional) > rm -rf $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/webgui_hostname/gui/workarea/*

e.     Launch your web browser and clear the browser cache. 

f.       Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI

5.    Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from your cluster.

a.     Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

b.     On each management host, restore your backup for the following files:

$EGO_TOP/gui/3.4/lib/soamgui.jar

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.2/symgui/WEB-INF/lib/soamgui.jar

$EGO_TOP/wlp/usr/servers/gui/apps/soam/7.1.2/soamgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/soam/gui/api/SOAMAppList.class

c.      Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

(Optional) > rm -rf $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/webgui_hostname/gui/workarea/*

d.     Launch your web browser and clear the browser cache. 

e.     Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI
