  • The following steps assume that IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer is installed in /opt/ibm. Replace with your actual installation directory.
    
  • 6.1  Before installation
    • Log on to the IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Server host as root.
      
    • Set your IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer environment.
      For csh or tcsh:
      % source /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext/cshrc.platform
      For sh, ksh, or bash:
      $ . /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext/profile.platform
    • Determine the location of your existing IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer installation.
      #rpm -q --queryformat "%{INSTPREFIXES}\n" lsf-explorer-server
    • Stop all IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer services.
      pmcadmin stop
    • Back up your existing installation.
      For example:
      #cp -rfp /opt/ibm /opt/ibm.bak
  • 6.2  Installation steps for IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer V10.2.0.
    

    Note: 1. This Fix Pack is only for LSF Explorer V10.2.0. If you are using other versions, you must first migrate to V10.2.0 before applying this Fix Pack. 2. User should install this patch on every IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Servers.
    

    • Extract explorer10.2.0.8_server_linux-x64.tar.gz.
      tar -xzvf explorer10.2.0.8_server_linux-x64.tar.gz 
    • As root, log on to your IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer 10.2 host.
    • Set your IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer environment.
      For csh or tcsh:
      % source /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext/cshrc.platform
      For sh, ksh, or bash:
      $ . /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext/profile.platform
    • Configure the install.config file as the same when installing Spectrum LSF Explorer 10.2.0.8.
      Note: Configure INSTALL_ES=N and configure ES_HOST and ES_PORT of your Elasticsearch properly.
      
    • Install the pack
      ./ExplorerServerInstaller.sh -f install.config
      
    • Run the following commands to specify the Vendor-Feature filter width in pixels.
      chmod +x changeLicenseFilterWidth.sh
      ./changeLicenseFilterWidth.sh es_ip es_port filter_width
      
      Example:  ./changeLicenseFilterWidth.sh 127.0.0.1 9200 400
    • Start IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Server.
      pmcadmin start
• Uninstallation
  • 7.1  Before uninstallation

    Stop all IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer services:

    pmcadmin stop
  • 7.2  Roll back the fix

    The following steps assume that IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer is installed in the /opt/ibm directory.
    Replace this with your actual installation directory.

    • Determine the location of your existing IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer installation.
      #rpm -q --queryformat "%{INSTPREFIXES}\n" lsf-explorer-server
    • Replace files under /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext/explorer/server/public/platform/explorer with the backuped up files under /opt/ibm.bak/lsfsuite/ext/explorer/server/public/platform/explorer
    • Start IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer Server
      pmcadmin start
    • Clear your browser cache before logging into IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer.
      This is required on every browser that will access IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer. Otherwise, IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer will not work properly.
