When an application’s reclaim grace period is a non-zero value, under race conditions, the “soamview resource appName” command shows the resource to be in RELEASING state, even though the host has been removed. This interim fix resolves this issue.

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.
System requirements
Linux x86_64
Installation
a. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and disable the applications:
> egosh
user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> soamcontrol app disable <appName>
b. On each management host, create a directory (for example, /symfixes) and download the soamcore-7.2.1_x86_64_build526066.tar.gz package to the directory.
c. Use the egoinstallfixes command to install the package:
> egoinstallfixes /symfixes/soamcore-7.2.1_x86_64_build526066.tar.gz
NOTE: Running the egoinstallfixes command automatically backs up the current binary files to a fix backup directory for recovery purposes. Do not delete this backup directory; you will need it if you want to recover the original files.
d. Use the pversions command to verify the installation:
> pversions
-b 526066

7.2.1.0

e. Enable the application.
> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
5. Uninstallation
If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.
a. Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and disable the application:
> egosh
user logon -u Admin -x Admin
> soamcontrol app disable <appName>
b. Log on to each management host and roll back this fix:

To uninstall with the build number, enter:
> egoinstallfixes
-r 526066
· To uninstall by specifying the full path to the interim fix package, enter (for example):
> egoinstallfixes -r
/symfixes/soamcore-7.2.1_x86_64_build526066.tar.gz
c. Enable the application.
> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
