This release media contains the xCAT Kit to easily support installation of the IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit's server component for Linux v2.4.1-1. This file contains information about the IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit xCAT Kit only. For information on xCAT, xCAT Kits, and using this kit with xCAT, please refer to the xCAT documentation: xCAT Documentation
1. Download the xCAT Kit for the IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit fix pack and place it in any directory on your xCAT Management Node.
2. Do NOT uncompress or untar this file.
3. Follow the instructions in the xCAT documentation for IBM HPC Software Kits in order to use the addkit command to add the IBM Parallel Performance Ttoolkit kit to the xCAT database: IBM HPC Software Kits
IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit 2.4.1-1 xCAT Kit supports:
- IBM POWER systems with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server releases 7.5 or 7.6 running in little endian mode

IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit 2.4.1-1 [June 21, 2019]

IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit:
1. IBM Parallel Performance Toolkit now provides a description for the new POWER9 nest events enabled in the DD2.3 version of the processor.
2. Users can now conditionally display source code lines with the vprof -c option.
3. The hpctView GUI program now limits the number of simultaneous connections to retrieve vprof files to avoid overloading the remote system with ssh processes.
4. Users can now use the hpctView command to perform combined time-based and MPI profiling of MPI applications.
