When
RFE 115427 to secure user names and passwords with RSA algorithms (sym-7.1.2-build489896-jpmc)
is applied in an environment with IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.1.2 and IBM Spectrum
Conductor with Spark 2.2.1, a WEBGUI core dump can occur under race conditions. This interim fix resolves this issue.

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.
System requirements
Linux x86_64
Installation
a.
Copy the sym-7.1.2.0_x86_64_cws-2.2.1.0_x86_64_build516335.tar.gz package to your build
host and extract its contents to a directory, which is hereafter referred to as
the “extract directory”.
b.
Backup the sec_ego_ext_plugin.a file introduced by sym-7.1.2-build489896-jpmc.
c.
Get the updated sec_ego_ext_plugin.a file from the “extract directory” and use it to replace
the one in sym-7.1.2-build489896-jpmc.
d. Follow the README to apply the updated patch.

Uninstallation
If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.
a. Restore the changes made to the sym-7.1.2-build489896-jpmc installation, or re-download the enhancement from IBM Fix Central.
b. Re-install sym-7.1.2-build489896-jpmc by following the README.
