4.     Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.

System requirements

·        Linux x86_64

Installation on Linux

a.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and disable all applications:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> soamcontrol app disable all

b.      Log on to each compute host in the cluster and back up the following files, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.2/linux-x86_64/etc/sim

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.2/linux-x86_64/bin/soamdeploy

c.      On each compute host, download the sym-7.1.2.0_x86_64_build509961.tar.gz package and extract it to the Spectrum Symphony installation directory:

> tar zxfo sym-7.1.2.0_x86_64_build509961.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      Run the sim -V and the soamdeploy -V command to verify the installation:

> sim -V

> soamdeploy -V

e.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and enable your applications:

> soamcontrol app enable <appName>

5.     Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.

a.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and disable all applications:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> soamcontrol app disable all

b.      Log on to each compute host in the cluster and restore the following files from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.2/linux-x86_64/etc/sim

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1.2/linux-x86_64/bin/soamdeploy

c.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and enable your applications:

> soamcontrol app enable <appName>
