In an environment wherein IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.1.2, IBM Conductor with Spark 2.2.0 or IBM Conductor with Spark 2.2.1, and IBM Spectrum LSF 10.1.0.0 are installed, accessing the LSF jobs page from the cluster management console does not show job information. This interim fix resolves this issue.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Before installation

a.      Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and back up the following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/3.5/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so

$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so (if exists)

Installation

a.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and install this interim fix:

> tar zxfo symmh-7.1.2.0_x86_64_build444867.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

b.      If $EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so exists,
copy
$EGO_TOP/3.5/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so to $EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so

After installation

a.      Delete all subdirectories and files in the GUI work directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

NOTE: If you configured the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR parameter and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the $EGO_CONFDIR/wlp.conf file, you must clean up the $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/webgui_hostname/gui/workarea/ directory.

b.      Clear the browser cache.

c.      Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI

5.    Uninstallation

a.      Stop the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service stop WEBGUI

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/3.5/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so
$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/lib/libbatchjni.so (if exists)

c.      Clean up the GUI work directories. Delete all subdirectories and files in the following directories:

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

> rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/workarea/*

NOTE: If you configured the WLP_OUTPUT_DIR parameter and APPEND_HOSTNAME_TO_WLP_OUTPUT_DIR is set to true in the $EGO_CONFDIR/wlp.conf file, you must clean up the $WLP_OUTPUT_DIR/webgui_hostname/gui/workarea/ directory.

d.      Clear the browser cache.

e.      Start the WEBGUI service:

> egosh service start WEBGUI
