When configuring your IBM Spectrum Symphony 7.2.0.2 cluster to provision hosts from the Amazon Web Services cloud, the template $EGO_CONFDIR/../../eservice/hostfactory/conf/providers/aws/conf/awsprov_templates.json file does not accept 6-digit values for the nram parameter. This interim fix provides a resolution for this issue.

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installation

a.     Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the HostFactory service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop HostFactory

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and back up the following file, which will be replaced by this interim fix:

$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/etc/hostfactory

c.      On each management host, download the sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build503326.tar.gz package and extract its contents to the top-level $EGO_TOP installation directory:

> tar zxfo sym-7.2.0.2_x86_64_build503326.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP

d.      Run the hostfactory -V command to verify the installation, for example:

> hostfactory -V

e.     From the master host, start the HostFactory service: 

> egosh service start HostFactory

5.  Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix in your cluster.

a.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the HostFactory service:

> egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

> egosh service stop HostFactory

b.      Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore the following file from your backup:

$EGO_TOP/3.6/linux-x86_64/etc/hostfactory

c.   From the master host, start the HostFactory service:

> egosh service start HostFactory
