- Install IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer server and node with
configuration 'INSTALL_ES=N' by installation guide.
- Determine the location of your existing IBM Spectrum LSF
Explorer installation.

- Backup your existing IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer server/node installation.
For example(with /opt/ibm location):

environment, /opt/ibm is the default directory where you installed IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer

- For sh, ksh, or bash: . /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext/profile.platform
- Stop all IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer services.
#perfadmin stop all

- 6.2 Installation steps for IBM Spectrum LSF
Explorer 10.2.0.6 Solution with ElasticSearch 6.x
The following steps assume that:
* IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer
Server/Node is installed in /opt/ibm;
* ElasticSearch 6.x service listen
'localhost:9200';
* ElasticSearch 6.x snapshot repository is
configured '/var/lib/elasticsearch_repo/'.
Replace with your actual
configuration.
Note:
* This Solution is only for LSF Explorer 10.2.0.6. If
you
are using other versions, you must call IBM support to gain new
solution package.
* This Solution is only for fresh installation procedure, exclude data
migration process. You must call IBM support for more help.
- 6.2.1 Initial ElasticSearch. For cluster, run
this procedure once on any one node only, exception step#2 below.
- Login the ElasticSearch 6.x server by root.
- Configure ElasticSearch 6.x snapshot repository. For
cluster, repository should use same path under share file system for
each elasticsearch node.
Append "path.repo: /var/lib/elasticsearch_repo" to
elasticsearch.yml(default configuration file path: /etc/elasticsearch/)

- Create repository location: es541_backup
For example(use relative path "es541_backup_location" under
"/var/lib/elasticsearch_repo"):

Stop all IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer services:

- 7.2 Roll back the fix
The following steps assume IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer is
installed in /opt/ibm.
Replace with your actual installation directory.
- Determine the location of your existing IBM Explorer
installation.

- Extract previous backup tarball
#cd /opt/ibm/lsfsuite/ext
#tar -xzvf /opt/ibm/explorer.503066.tar.gz
- Start IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer services

#pmcadmin start
- Clear your browser cache before logging into IBM Spectrum
LSF Explorer.
This is required on every browser that will access IBM Spectrum LSF
Explorer. Otherwise, IBM Spectrum LSF Explorer will
not work properly.
