Installing the fix pack for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office

Follow the instructions for deploying IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office in Planning, Installing, and Configuring IBM Content Navigator.

If you are installing the fix pack on top of another version of IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, the installation program detects your current installation and upgrades your installation. The upgrade uses all of the settings that you specified when you installed IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office.

Removing the interim fix

When you uninstall the interim fix, you also uninstall IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office.

The interim fix for IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office uninstallation programs remove the program and all applied fixes. You cannot remove only the interim fix.

IO26374 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) In Navigator for Microsoft Office, when setting multiple value property values with EDS enabled, the property value cannot be updated more than 2 times. After initially setting the property value, any changes to the value are not saved.

With this fix, changes to EDS enabled multiple value properties are retained.

IO25990 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) An error "The taskpane has been deleted or is otherwise no longer valid." displays in Excel when checking in a document when the document is closed, when the desktop option "Prompt users to check in documents when they close Office applications" is enabled.

With this fix, users will not get an error when checking in Excel documents when the checkin on close option is enabled.

IO26016 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) Modifying properties on documents that were added using ICC generates the error message "The following error occurred on the repository: The method failed because an object or property is read-only. Read-only property ICCMailDate cannot be updated.".

With this fix, users can successfully modify properties of documents added with ICC.

IO25389 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) In Microsoft Outlook integration, emails added to an object store with long subject or file names cannot be opened in Content Navigator. Instead an error message, such as the following, is displayed: "The document cannot be opened. You do not have the appropriate permissions."

With this fix, emails with long subjects or file names can be opened.

IO25435 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) While editing document properties that are populated using an external data service (EDS), the EDS choice list edit boxes are highlighted, even though the properties are not associated with a choice list.

With this fix, the EDS choice list edit boxes are not highlighted and selectable when editing properties that are not associated with a choice list.

IO25147 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) After checking in an document that was added using an entry template, the document loses the association with the entry template and subsequent checkin operations do not reflect the entry template settings.

With this fix, the document's entry template association will be retained when the document is checked in.

IO25271 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) In Excel, after clicking on the Add or Add with entry template buttons, clicking on the button again displays duplicate add windows, instead of replacing the current window.

With this fix, clicking on the Add or Add with entry template button will replace the current add window, instead of displaying duplicate windows.

IO25369 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) Navigator for Microsoft Office does not show the "Attach file as copy" and "Attach file as link" context menu options for new Outlook meeting and new Outlook appointment.

With this fix, these context menu options are shown for Outlook new meeting and new appointment.

IO25386 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) a user could not edit the Excel spreadsheet embedded in a Word document. The user would get an error message from both Word and Excel

With this fix, the user is able to edit the embedded Excel spreadsheet.

IO24985 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) Navigator for Microsoft Office install fails on Windows 10 when it tries to install .Net 4.5.2.

With this fix, Navigator for Microsoft Office will install correctly on Windows 10.

IO25056 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) Navigator for Microsoft Office does not show the correct sort order in the results display dialog on some search templates.

With this fix, the correct sort order defined for the search template will display in the results display dialog.

IO25057 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) Adding Microsoft Word Documents to an IBM Content Manager repository fails for documents created from certain templates that have no initial text.

With this fix, adding documents to IBM Content Manager repositories succeeds for documents created from templates with no initial text.

IO24886 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) For Content Manager user, if the name property is a string:ext type, the name does not appears.

With this fix, the name property is used for the document title.

IO24953 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) When an entry template is configured with restricted folder access where the user can not add to the parent folder but can add to a child folder, if the user clicks on the download and selects the parent folder without selecting anything else, the user can add to the restricted folder.

With this fix, the user can not add to the restricted folder.

IO24959 (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office users) When searching in Microsoft Office products, the results display dropdown does not work.

With this fix, the dropdown works.
