4.     Installation and configuration

Follow the instructions in this section to download and install this interim fix in your cluster.

System requirements

Linux x86_64

Installation

1.      Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the WEBGUI service:

$ egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

$ egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.      For recovery purposes, log on to each management host in your cluster as the cluster administrator and back up the following files:

$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/7.1/soamgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/soam/gui/web/ApplicationResources.properties

$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/7.1/soamgui/servicePackage/addPackage.jsp

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoam_resources.so

3.      For recovery purposes, log on to each compute host in your cluster as the cluster administrator and back up the following files:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoam_resources.so

4.      Download the sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build498122.tar.gz file.

5.      Log on to each management host in your cluster as the cluster administrator and decompress the sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build498122.tar.gz file to the top-level installation directory. For example:

$ tar zxfo sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build498122.tar.gz -C $EGO_TOP/

6.      Log on to each compute host in your cluster as the cluster administrator and decompress the sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build498122.tar.gz file to a temp directory then copy the file. For example:

$ tar zxfo sym7.1_lnx26-lib23-x64_build498122.tar.gz -C /tmp

$ cp /tmp/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoam_resources.so $EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/

7.      Delete all subdirectories and files from the following directories:

$ rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

8.      Clear your browser cache.

9.      Start the WEBGUI service:

$ egosh service start WEBGUI

5.     Uninstallation

If required, follow the instructions in this section to uninstall this interim fix from your cluster.

1.         Log on to the master host as the cluster administrator and stop the WEBGUI service:

$ egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin

$ egosh service stop WEBGUI

2.         Log on to each management host in the cluster and restore your backup:

$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/7.1/soamgui/WEB-INF/classes/com/platform/soam/gui/web/ApplicationResources.properties

$EGO_TOP/gui/soam/7.1/soamgui/servicePackage/addPackage.jsp

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoam_resources.so

3.         Log on to each compute host in the cluster and restore your backup:

$EGO_TOP/soam/7.1/linux2.6-glibc2.3-x86_64/lib64/libsoam_resources.so

4.         Delete all subdirectories and files from the following directory:

$ rm -rf $EGO_TOP/gui/work/*

5.         Clear your browser cache.

6.         Start the WEBGUI service:

 $ egosh service start WEBGUI
