This readme document contains information about installation and removal of the interim fix and about known problems, restrictions, and solutions in support of IBM Content Navigator, Version 3.0.3.0.
The MS-Tech annotation engine has been replaced with a new IBM Content Manager annotation engine in this interim fix. For more details, see Annotation engine updated in IBM Content Navigator.

For security reasons, you might want to prevent users from opening or previewing certain types of documents, such as HTML documents, by setting the No viewer option. When this option is set and users attempt to preview or open a document of the file type you specified, they will receive a message informing them that the document cannot be opened, it can only be downloaded.

When you install an interim fix, you can run the installation wizard or run a silent installation. The interim fix can be installed as an update to IBM Content Navigator, Version 3.0.3.0 or later.
If you do not have IBM Content Navigator installed and configured, you must install and configure Version 3.0.3.0 first and then install the interim fix.
The interim fix installation program updates the files in the directory where IBM Content Navigator is installed. After the installation program completes successfully, restart the web application server and redeploy the IBM Content Navigator web application to apply the changes from the interim fix.

To install IBM Content Navigator, Version 3.0.3.0 Interim Fix 4:
When you uninstall the interim fix, you also uninstall IBM Content Navigator.
To update the Edit Service client, uninstall the old version and install the new version on Windows. Remove the old version and unpack the new version on Mac.

IO26270 | (IBM Content Navigator users) After running a cross repository search and selecting a search result, if the search criteria are modified and the search is run again, then no search results are returned for the second run. With this fix, the cross repository search runs correctly the second time. |
IO26274 | (IBM FileNet Content Manager users) The error "Security attributes disallow access" is repeatedly written to the Process Engine log, if a user who does not have write permissions on the Application Space tries to open the Work feature in IBM Content Navigator. With this fix, this issue is resolved. |

PJ43928 | IBM CMIS for FileNet Content Manager does not cache the Social Collaboration Search Indexing extensions (ClbSeedListEntry information) resulting in multiple calls being made to Content Engine which causes the Content Engine logs to be filled with the message 'Class "ClbSeedlistEntry" not found.'. With this fix, this error is resolved. |
PJ45156 | (IBM CMIS users) The IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment tool does not save WS-Security Authentication selection when saving the profile. Re-opening the profile shows HTTP Authentication selected. With this fix, WS-Security Authentication selection is saved correctly. |
IO26157 | (IBM Content Navigator users) Warning message like, 'The XXXX class will not be recognized because it was loaded from the file .../WEB-INF/lib/YYYY.jar location rather from a product class loader, are written to the SystemOut.log. YYYY.jar refers to either jsr311-api-1.1.1.jar or wink-1.2.1-incubating.jar. This fix removes these warning messages, by removing these jars which are no longer needed in IBM Content Navigator v3.0.3 onwards. |
IO26218 | (IBM CMIS users) IBM ECM CMIS Configuration and Deployment Tool generates an extra file under /opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/explodedformat/META-INF/was.webmodule that causes the CMIS 1.0 service to fail to start when the WS-Security Authentication method is selected. IO26124 | (IBM Content Manager users) IBM Content Navigator retrieves all of the foreign key values even though the option, "Show target data as dropdown in client" is not checked, for a Foreign Key in an Item Type's definition in the Content Manager System Administration Client. IO26144 | (IBM CMIS users) When any new property or property template is added or removed from the Document class in ACCE, this change is not reflected in IBM CMIS for FileNet Content Manager and an exception is thrown. With this fix, the changes are picked up by IBM CMIS and an exception is not thrown. |
IO26158 | (IBM Content Navigator users) Datetime properties in an entry template can be edited using the date picker even though specified as read-only, when using the entry template. With this fix, the ready-only Datetime property cannot be edited. |
IO26159 | (IBM Content Navigator users) Using Microsoft Internet Explorer with ICN with the default theme enabled, the placeholder example text that displays on date properties displays in a dark color like property values, instead of light gray. With this fix, Internet Explorer displays the date placeholder text in gray. |
IO26176 | (IBM Content Navigator users) Not all options are shown on the entry template folder association dialog when the default theme is used. The option to not inherit the associations from the parent folder is hidden. With this fix, all the options for entry template folder association are displayed when using the default theme. |
IO26181 | (IBM Content Navigator users) When a user clicks on the Edit button in the Document Info pane on a document that uses an entry template with a layout and EDS and then selects a different document in the content list, without modifying any properties on the previously selected documented, the user is prompted to save changes. With this fix, the user is not prompted to save changes. |
IO26186 | (IBM Content Navigator users) After selecting multiple documents from search results, the Export action works correctly only once. With this fix, the Export action works correctly even if repeated multiple times. |

IO26205 | (IBM Content Navigator users) Even after specifying the parameter-value pair useMemory=true, in the DocServices.properties file, the OutsideIn document engine and Snowbound document engine are initialized with the incorrect setting, useMemory=false. With this fix, the specified setting is used to initialize the document engines. |
IO26206 | (IBM Content Navigator users) When previewing documents using a URL with extra context path added via a proxy server, an error occurs. With this fix, documents are previewed without an error. |
